For a magus family, building a Magic Workshop was absolutely necessary. After purchasing this Leyline through the Clock Tower, the Forvedge Family did the same. To use an architectural analogy, they first needed to secure the Leyline like laying a foundation, making it easier to draw its power into the Magic Workshop. Then they could use the Leyline to strengthen and operate the workshop.

However, they got stuck on this very first step.

Originally, Leylines flowed from high to low like rivers, while building a magus workshop was like constructing a dam downstream to intercept the river and make use of it for the workshop. Naturally, the more powerful the Leyline, the greater its strength. The Leyline purchased by the Forvedge Family was at most as strong as a small river.

Then came the problem. When the Forvedge Family finished building the dam and prepared to store up water, they discovered—where was the water?
