"Wow, that was fantastic!"
When the performance ended, the director excitedly approached Duanmu Ai and lavished praise on her acting.
"In my opinion, you perfectly recreated the Angel from history!"
"Did I?"
"Of course."
The director nodded vigorously.
"There have been far too many plays and films praising the Angel over the years, but I believe they took the wrong approach. Aside from the original documentary, which was at least somewhat faithful, all the other works focus far too heavily on portraying the Angel's compassion. I'm not saying that's wrong, but if we show only that side of her, doesn't it make us humans seem as weak and helpless as infants who need their mothers to care for them?"
As he said this, the director helplessly spread his hands.

According to them, the Angel wasn't the sort of Holy Mother who would personally lift you to your feet. She would watch you and then make you choose. Whether you were willing to stand up was your own business. If you weren't willing to persevere, she would abandon you. But in my view, that wasn't cold-hearted at all. It was the Angel respecting humanity's autonomy. She could light the torch, but whether we had the courage to leave the darkness and return to the light still depended on us humans!"
"..."
Thanks for saying all that, but honestly, back then I just thought those people were annoying.
Duanmu Ai silently rolled her eyes inwardly. Things weren't nearly as noble as the director made them sound. She'd simply had too much to do at the time. There were so many Cyberpsychos to kill and so many Electronic Devils to
