The Second Day in the Hospital

It sucked. I started taking a bunch of medication and had to wear an insulin pump, adjusting it before every meal. Breakfast and dinner were basically steamed buns, cucumbers, and eggs, followed by plain boiled water. Lunch was the hospital's rice set meal, with barely any oil or salt—mostly stir-fried celery and napa cabbage with glass noodles... I ate whatever the nurse told me to eat... Fortunately, I wasn't picky about food...
