Today, Phantom Projector had a daily production capacity of twenty thousand units. Every bit of it was Ning Yifan's creation!
After Jiang Xuwei left Shenma Technology Company's factory, the news he brought back spread among the home appliance companies. Everyone who heard it was astonished and found it hard to believe.
Fully automated production technology wasn't unheard of. These days, most large companies had at least some relevant technology. It involved expertise in all kinds of fields: electrical automation, electromechanical control, automated testing, control systems, motion control systems, and much more. Usually, it took a large team of specialists to put it all together.
But now someone was telling them that one person had built an automated factory all by himself, doing work that required such a wealth of technical expertise.
What's more, he had used existing materials to assemble a product that none of the major companies could develop. It was selling like crazy, the company was running smoothly, and its production capacity was soaring as if it cost nothing at all: twenty thousand units a day! He'd left the big companies that had spent decades studying televisions completely beaten and battered!
Could anyone believe that?!
But the facts were right in front of them. They had no choice but to believe. After seeing the footage Jiang Xuwei had taken inside Shenma Technology Company, the various companies had each asked their own engineers to examine it carefully.
There was no doubt it was genuine. And the details Jiang Xuwei had uncovered during his investigation backed it up: from the delivery workers' accounts of picking up and dropping off packages to confirmation from the neighbors, no one other than Ning Yifan had ever been seen at his rented place. The entire Shenma Technology Company really did consist of Ning Yifan alone!
There was no research and development team. Ning Yifan had made the Phantom Projector all by himself!
The news left countless engineers reeling!
After watching all the videos and looking through the photos and information about Shenma Technology Company, many of the engineers were left devastated. Some even began to question their own lives.
"Who am I? Where am I? I've spent decades researching TVs and projectors, and I can't compete with some kid who only graduated a few years ago!"
"What kind of genius is this? He's practically a god descended from heaven!"
"Is this the difference between a genius and an ordinary person? Technological progress really only needs that tiny handful of true geniuses. The rest of us are just tools, I guess."
"I'd believe it if you told me it was alien technology!"

The technical engineers' laments did little beyond convincing the executives who had come to ask for their opinions that Ning Yifan of Shenma Technology Company was incredible.
The real problem remained: what could they do to deal with Shenma Technology Company as it grew ever stronger? How could they counter the Phantom Projector and keep their own companies from going under?
Things were getting harder and harder to handle!
Ning Yifan of Shenma Technology Company wouldn't accept requests for investment or acquisition. Now, they couldn't even get through to him by phone. His factory didn't need workers to run, either. He simply shut the doors and made his products!
Back when Shenma Technology Company hadn't yet grown, the major companies could have joined forces and used their industry connections to cut off supplies of some components for the Phantom Projector, preventing Shenma from making the product.
But now, Shenma Technology Company could manufacture most of the Phantom Projector's components itself.
And there was nothing the home appliance companies could do to stop Shenma from buying the components it couldn't make. The suppliers were major companies in the chip manufacturing industry. Why would they listen to home appliance companies and stop supplying Shenma? Besides, there was more than one chip company. If Snapdragon wasn't an option, there was still Dimensity.
Lately, the home appliance companies had all tried to crack the Phantom Projector and copy it, but none had succeeded. Their technical engineers had studied it day and night and still couldn't break its drive program.
They had even held meetings for engineers to exchange ideas and study the Phantom Projector together. They'd paid computer experts a fortune to crack it, but still made no progress.
Were they really supposed to sit back and watch their companies die?
Some companies that didn't rely on TVs as their main product had already given up the struggle. They were shifting their production focus, scaling back or even shutting down their TV production lines. Once they sold off their existing stock, they planned to concentrate on other products.
But the companies whose main product was TVs couldn't abandon production. Doing so would mean going bankrupt outright. Clinging to a one-in-ten-thousand chance, they kept searching for a solution.
Among them, Changhong Company, Skyworth Company, TCL Company, and Hisense Company were all major companies unwilling to give up on TVs.
In recent years, these companies had considered expanding into other home appliance products and had taken action, achieving some success.
But televisions still accounted for more than sixty percent of their profits. Without the revenue from TVs, they would go bankrupt in no time!
For the past few days, executives and board members at these major companies had been as anxious as ants on a hot pan as TV sales plummeted.
Their plan to poach technical staff from Shenma Technology Company had fallen through completely. Their last chance rested with Ning Yifan, the sole owner of Shenma Technology Company.
They called him, but couldn't get through.
They texted him, but got no reply.
They looked up his WeChat account using his phone number and sent him a friend request, but he still ignored them.
They even went to find him in person, but couldn't locate him!
They could wait outside Shenma Technology Company all day and still might not catch sight of Ning Yifan even once.
And whenever they did manage to meet him, they barely got a couple of words in before he learned who they were and what they wanted, then took off. They couldn't catch him; he was almost as fast as an Olympic athlete. The salespeople sent to negotiate were left in despair. They were there to negotiate, not to stake him out or race him!
The companies wanted to get in touch with Ning Yifan, but had no way to do so.
After one desperate attempt after another came to nothing, all they could do was band together and make one last, all-or-nothing effort.
A meeting to discuss how several major companies should respond was about to begin.
