Konoha.
A spatial rift opened.
Chiyo appeared soundlessly in the sky above Konoha.
Below him lay the village sleeping beneath the night, its scattered lights like fallen stars.
He stood quietly atop the stone faces of the Hokages, the night wind stirring his dark robes and carrying the chill of distant mountains.
Miroku's tearful prophecy still echoed in his ears, tangled with the clues in his mind about the Era Tree, the key, and the crisis, forming a heavy fog.
Things seemed to have become complicated.
Just then, the air beside him rippled with an exceedingly faint spatial tremor, carrying a pure yet icy aura.
A white figure, as if condensed from moonlight, appeared silently at his side.
Her silver-white hair cascaded to her ankles, and her pale skin seemed almost translucent under the moonlight. Her pure Byakugan held not the slightest emotion.
Yet when she looked at Chiyo, an almost imperceptible flicker passed through their depths.
The newcomer was none other than Ōtsutsuki Kaguya.
She did not speak. She simply stood quietly beside Chiyo, overlooking the land they had protected in different ways.
She had sensed the subtle disturbance within Chiyo's space and the unusual heaviness in his heart when he returned alone late at night.
After a long while, when even the night wind seemed to have frozen, Chiyo's low voice broke the silence.
He did not turn around. His gaze remained fixed on the darkness in the distance.
"Kaguya, beyond the Era Tree lies another world. Find the key, and we can cross over."
Kaguya's pure Byakugan shifted slightly as she turned to look at Chiyo's hard-profiled face.
Another world?
Cross over?
Those words stirred her memories.
She recalled a time long, long ago, when she had first descended upon this planet, alone and without support.
