At the start of the first round, the character controlled by Eriri launched a fierce assault, and the fight looked almost completely one-sided. (Continued)
"Uh, hehehe..."
Nakano Yotsuba scratched her head, looking rather embarrassed.
"Mm, we're quintuplets."
Nakano Miku suddenly appeared beside them and picked up the conversation.
She'd switched places with someone else and teamed up with Yotsuba, so she'd noticed what was going on.
"Let's not talk about that anymore."
Nakano Yotsuba dropped the subject and pointed at the easel behind her.
"Hasegawa-kun, since you're so quick at drawing, could you draw a portrait of Miku for me? After seeing your work, I've completely lost confidence in myself!"
She pressed her hands together in a pleading gesture, her eyes sparkling. She looked so much like a cute little animal that it was hard not to feel sorry for her.
"Yotsuba, don't make such a troubling request."
Nakano Miku looked at Yotsuba, her eyes carrying a hint of warning.
"It's fine. I'm just killing time anyway, so I can draw something."
For Hasegawa Izumi, it wouldn't take much effort, so he casually agreed.
It was art class, after all. This wasn't going overboard.
He picked up his pencil and began drawing again, while Miku and Yotsuba watched from behind him.
The pencil swept back and forth across the page with effortless grace. Each movement seemed both elegant and powerful, almost like a dance. Even the faint scratch of the lead against the paper sounded delightful.
"Done."
After a while, he set down his pencil.
"Is this... me?"
Nakano Miku looked at the portrait of herself and lowered her head slightly. Her bangs partly obscured her eyes, and her expression was blank, yet it revealed an inexplicable melancholy.
When she looked in the mirror, she never noticed so many details.
"This is just like how I picture Miku! You captured her so well!"
Nakano Yotsuba marveled again.
"Um, Hasegawa-kun, could you maybe..."
