Background

The Tang Sect is an ancient organization associated with Sea God Tang San. It has remained active despite fading from public attention, retaining foundations on all three continents and avoiding prominence because of its historic reputation. Its East Sea Science and Technology Park site operates publicly as Xuan Shi Tangmen Technology Co., Ltd. 47

Its Hero Hall is a Tang Sect-developed trial system whose opponents include simulations of legendary Shrek Seven Devils, such as Xiao Xiao, Jiang Nannan, Huo Yuhao, and Beibei. Wu Changkong uses the organization to recruit talented students, including Tang Wulin and Xie Xie as outer sect members. 47

The sect permits members to belong to only one major organization. A disciple who leaves must surrender everything obtained from the Tang Sect, including its cultivation methods. 47

Sect initiation

Tang Ya describes the Tang Sect's disciples as family and personally accepts Huo Yuhao as her second disciple after he performs a three-kowtow initiation ceremony. Beibei becomes Huo Yuhao's senior disciple brother. 536

Dragon Valley

Dragon Valley was a Tang Sect-controlled Small World used as a training ground for elite young disciples. The sect periodically sent members below Soul King rank into the realm, making it a major resource for cultivating newcomers. 224 229

An Ping, Gu Yuena, and their allies moved Dragon Valley into a newly formed plane. The disappearance destroyed the Tang Sect's Star Luo training resource and caused the disappearance or presumed deaths of personnel stationed at its entrance. 256 257

Ice and Fire Yin Yang Eye

The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Eye was a heavily guarded Tang Sect secret realm in Sunset Forest. Its environment doubled plant growth and nurtured numerous plant-type heavenly treasures, including Immortal Herbs exceeding one hundred thousand years of cultivation. 272 279

The Tang Sect had guarded the site for ten thousand years, and its Immortal Herbs were a major source of the sect's long-term prosperity and ability to produce powerful Soul Masters. 276

History

The Tang Sect's influence is closely intertwined with Shrek Academy. Many Shrek students later enter the sect, and the organizations regularly cooperate in training, intelligence, and operations. Their relationship is also reinforced by Tang San's Divine Sense, which directs both organizations to regard An Ping, Gu Yuena, and their Soul Beast allies as absolute enemies. 317 343

After Dragon Valley vanished, Hu Jie assembled Tang Sect members in the Star Luo Empire and declared that An Ping and Gu Yuena were responsible. The sect subsequently issued missions to monitor anyone connected to the pair and planned to capture them when Fierce Beast protection was absent. 256 257 244

The removal of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Eye further escalated the conflict. Zang Xin was injured and unable to stop Di Tian, while Cao Dezhi returned from his duties as deputy commander of the Blood God Legion to assist the sect. 276

As Miracle City rose, the Tang Sect and Shrek Academy conducted a broad search for An Ping and Gu Yuena, while Tang San's Divine Sense considered lifting cultivation suppression on affiliated forces so more of their powerhouses could become gods. 302 440

The Tang Sect's later attempt to obtain Miracle City's Meditation Method by kidnapping civilians backfired. Di Tian destroyed the Heaven Dou City branch, exposed its underground armory, and triggered a political crisis. 468 469

The sect publicly disavowed detained members as Star Luo spies and apologized for poor supervision, but the Dou Ling Empire severed ties with it. Following further losses—including the destruction of its Heaven Spirit Empire branch, Titan's death, and Zang Xin's capture—the Tang Sect chose to shift its operational focus toward the Star Luo Empire. 472 493 494
