"This information is too vague. Do you have anything more detailed? For example, where the two of them have been over the past month." Mousse shook his head as soon as he heard it. He was no fortune-teller—how could he possibly draw conclusions from so little information?
The BIG Pirates' intelligence network was indeed formidable, and Charlotte Linlin really did know more. "Garp returned from the East Blue aboard a warship, so he should have spent the past month on that ship, right? Dragon took part in the Navy's Buster Call against Pharaohs. Afterward, he returned to Marineford and made no further moves until he met with his father and left."
At the mention of "Pharaohs," Mousse's heartbeat unconsciously quickened for a few seconds.
When he had said "the past month," he had actually meant the period since the Faros Incident. He had deliberately avoided the word "Pharaohs" for fear of reopening his mother's old wounds, yet that "honest-looking" Dragon had actually taken part in the operation that destroyed the Faros Kingdom. There was no avoiding it.
Seeing that Mousse did not answer right away, Charlotte Linlin added, "Oh, right. Stussy called today and said Dragon resigned. Do you think she doesn't want those fifty years of lifespan anymore? Did she really think I'd believe such a clumsy lie?"
"Resigned? Was he provoked by the Navy's extermination of Pharaohs? That ties everything together at once. Garp may have left because he learned the truth about the Faros Incident and lost his motivation as well." Mousse suddenly saw the light, because the three events fit together perfectly and held up to scrutiny.
By Mousse's previous estimation, Monkey D. Dragon would not leave the Navy until at least after Roger's execution. More likely, it would be prompted by the Ohara Incident.
