Ch. 1Book-Book Fruit

Mousse accepted the Book-Book Fruit that Perospero had found for him, while reflecting on his bond with his eldest brother and the Charlotte Family. After saving a blood sample for comparison, he joined Smoothie and Galette at Cake Castle, where Big Mom waited for them to eat their fruits and reveal their abilities.

  • Perospero told Mousse that the Book-Book Fruit suited him, and Mousse agreed to take it.
  • Mousse reflected on Perospero's care for his siblings and his own growing sense of belonging to the Charlotte Family.
  • Mousse returned to the laboratory and had Perospero help draw and preserve a blood sample before he ate the fruit.
  • Perospero brought Mousse to Cake Castle, where Big Mom greeted him without anger and told him, Smoothie, and Galette to eat their fruits and report their abilities.

Ch. 2So Useless

Mousse and his sisters ate their Devil Fruits and discovered their abilities, while Mousse tested the Book-Book Fruit’s power to control books. Charlotte Linlin dismissed his ability as useless, but Katakuri encouraged him to develop it, leaving Mousse to consider its potential.

  • Charlotte Galette ate her fruit and began uncontrollably producing butter, while Smoothie discovered she could squeeze juice from her elastic body and nearly dehydrated herself.
  • Mousse tested his Book-Book Fruit by using Perospero’s blueprints and found that he could make books move through the air.
  • Charlotte Linlin praised Galette’s butter and Smoothie’s juice, then complained that Mousse’s expensive fruit could only control books.
  • Katakuri noticed Mousse was hurt by their mother’s remark and encouraged him to develop his ability.

Ch. 3Big Brother, You've Gotten Me Killed

Mousse revealed that the Book-Book Fruit let him memorize anything in a book, prompting Charlotte Linlin to expect him to become a scientist who could enlarge her children. When Mousse suggested finding his estranged grandparents for research, Linlin erupted in anger and struck him down with her Conqueror’s Haki.

  • Mousse explained that touching a book let him memorize its contents, and Perospero told Charlotte Linlin this could make him the world’s greatest scientist.
  • Charlotte Linlin demanded that Mousse find a way to make her children as large as she was, and Mousse warned that the research could take decades.
  • Mousse suggested locating his grandparents and collecting their blood for preliminary research, angering Linlin by bringing up the parents who had abandoned her.
  • Mousse told Linlin that his grandparents had left her because they loved her, and she released her Conqueror’s Haki as the children and subordinates collapsed.
  • Mousse withstood Linlin’s initial Haki but was then blasted to the floor by a stronger aura, leaving Katakuri wondering whether it was a higher level of Conqueror’s Haki.

Ch. 4Mousse's Ambition

Mousse persuaded Charlotte Linlin that her parents had sent her to Elbaf to save her from execution, then asked to study their blood samples to investigate her gigantification. Charlotte Linlin assigned Katakuri to handle the matter, and Katakuri took Mousse aside to question him.

  • Katakuri tried to stop Mousse from provoking Charlotte Linlin, but Mousse explained that his grandparents had sent her to Elbaf so she could survive.
  • Charlotte Linlin cried as Mousse's explanation reached her, then listened to his request for her parents' blood samples.
  • Mousse explained that he wanted to compare their samples with hers to investigate her gigantification and its extraordinary physical traits.
  • Charlotte Linlin questioned how Mousse knew about her past, and he convinced her that he had pieced it together through research.
  • Charlotte Linlin left the decision about bringing her parents to Katakuri, who took Mousse to his residence and dismissed everyone else.

Ch. 5Take Me with You

Mousse persuaded Katakuri to take him on a voyage to the Faros Kingdom, where Mousse hoped to broaden his knowledge and develop his Devil Fruit ability. After the group reached the kingdom safely, Mousse watched Katakuri train and asked Cracker about his biscuits before they hardened.

  • Mousse begged Katakuri to bring him along, and Katakuri agreed after Mousse promised to behave and said he wanted to learn from books abroad.
  • Katakuri assembled a powerful crew, including Oven, Cracker, Amande, Castard, Brulee, and Baron Tamago, and borrowed Zeus from Charlotte Linlin.
  • The crew sailed aboard the Homie warship Queen Mama Chanter, while Zeus cleared a storm and helped protect them from the New World's weather.
  • The group reached the Faros Kingdom after a voyage of just over two days, during which Katakuri kept training and sparred with Cracker's Biscuit Soldiers in Brulee's Mirror World.
  • After Cracker complained that Katakuri's Armament Haki smashed his biscuits, Mousse asked what the biscuits were like before they hardened.

Ch. 6Compressed Biscuits and Brick Mochi

Mousse taught Cracker how to make Compressed Biscuits, allowing him to greatly strengthen his Biscuit Soldiers and armor. After realizing Katakuri’s mochi might be improved in a similar way, Mousse explained the unusually dense, brick-hard mochi made in the Flower Kingdom.

  • Mousse explained how to make Compressed Biscuits, and Cracker successfully produced blocks that resisted water and were much harder than ordinary biscuits.
  • Cracker made a Compressed Biscuit Soldier, and Katakuri needed several powerful strikes to destroy it.
  • Mousse suggested sacrificing flavor to make combat biscuits tougher and unpleasant to eat, and Cracker began refining his formula.
  • Amande teased Cracker for claiming his biscuits could taste like shit, making the siblings laugh.
  • Mousse questioned why Cracker’s Biscuit Armor could withstand Katakuri’s attacks and described brick-hard mochi from the Flower Kingdom.

Ch. 7Knowledge Is Power

Katakuri developed extremely hard, water-resistant mochi after Mousse explained how to make it, and he taught his siblings how personal physical abilities could help strengthen Armament Haki. Mousse then advised Brulee about a weakness in her Mirror World, and Katakuri asked what safeguard Mousse could suggest.

  • Katakuri used Mousse's advice to create mochi harder than steel, improving its combat and defensive uses.
  • Katakuri explained to Mousse and his younger siblings that improving personal abilities could strengthen Armament Haki, while external weapons could not.
  • Katakuri warned Mousse to build his physical foundation before training Haki, and Mousse accepted his advice.
  • The Charlotte Family's Devil Fruit users sought Mousse's guidance, and he warned Brulee that an enemy could exploit her Mirror World by taking her hostage.
  • Katakuri agreed that Brulee needed a safeguard and asked Mousse what countermeasure he had in mind.

Ch. 8Baron Tamago's Eggache

Mousse advised Brulee on improving her Mirror World and suggested a possible way for Oven to use his Heat-Heat Fruit to enhance his body. When Baron Tamago asked for guidance, Mousse told him to build a stronger foundation and awaken Armament Haki before relying on his Egg-Egg Fruit.

  • Mousse suggested that Brulee restrict the Mirror World to usable mirrors and grant trusted people, such as Katakuri, permission to enter and exit.
  • Brulee excitedly accepted the ideas and left to imagine sharing her private space with Katakuri.
  • Mousse judged Oven's Heat-Heat Fruit too limited for combat and proposed that Oven try heating his own body to boost his physical abilities.
  • Baron Tamago sought Mousse's advice, and Mousse bluntly told him to strengthen his foundation and awaken Armament Haki before developing his fruit further.
  • Mousse recalled that Tamago's Egg-Egg Fruit could let him recover from fatal injuries by cycling through stronger egg-based forms.

Ch. 9Passive Trigger

Mousse helped Baron Tamago discover that repeatedly triggering the Egg-Egg Fruit’s transformations through fatal injuries improved his ability, then demonstrated a new way to store and erase memories with his Book-Book Fruit. He remained frustrated that Book World had not appeared, but knew he still had time to develop it.

  • Mousse guessed that Baron Tamago had to be killed repeatedly to develop the Egg-Egg Fruit, so Tamago asked Cracker to kill him during training.
  • After repeated transformations, Baron Tamago confirmed that his transition time had shortened and his transformed strength had improved, while Mousse concluded that passive Devil Fruit abilities gained proficiency through repeated use.
  • Mousse noticed that Tamago’s injuries healed when he transformed and advised him to trigger a transformation before future wounds could scar; he also encouraged Tamago to train in his strongest form.
  • Cracker asked Mousse about his own fruit development, and Mousse demonstrated how he could copy memories into a book or erase them after recording them.
  • Mousse planned to clear out less useful memories but remained unable to develop Book World.

Ch. 10Instantly Killing a Marine Rear Admiral

Katakuri led the Charlotte Family’s mission to Faros Islands and attacked a Navy warship to learn what forces guarded the port. After defeating Rear Admiral Sigma and interrogating the prisoners, he discovered that the Navy fleet had come to destroy Faros Kingdom.

  • Katakuri decided to capture the Navy warship and question its crew rather than risk taking his siblings ashore blindly.
  • Katakuri used Conqueror’s Haki to incapacitate most of the Marines, then killed two officers and Rear Admiral Sigma with Mochi Thrust.
  • Mousse reflected on how Katakuri’s Observation Haki made his thrusts especially lethal against weaker opponents.
  • Katakuri and Amande interrogated the prisoners, who revealed that the port held two Navy Headquarters vice admirals, six warships, and at least five thousand elite soldiers.
  • The prisoners told Katakuri that the Navy fleet had come to destroy Faros Kingdom.

Ch. 11Blood That Wouldn't Boil

Mousse and Katakuri learned that the World Government planned to destroy Faros Kingdom to prevent pirates from controlling a strategic route near Elbaf, so they prepared to intervene. Before they left, Oven revealed that Mousse’s advice had helped him master Geppo by heating his body above 300°C, prompting Mousse to reconsider how Devil Fruits defied familiar science.

  • Mousse learned that the World Government planned to destroy Faros Kingdom and realized the islands’ location threatened its connection with Elbaf.
  • Katakuri and Mousse decided they could not let the Marines attack Faros Kingdom without intervening.
  • Katakuri prepared to attack the Marine warships with Amande and Castard, but Oven asked to join because he had learned Geppo.
  • Oven explained that Mousse’s advice to heat his body had boosted his physical abilities, helping him master Soru and Geppo.
  • Oven told Mousse he had heated his body to over 300°C, and Mousse concluded that Devil Fruit abilities required him to test even basic assumptions from his former world.

Ch. 12Second Sweet Commander

Charlotte Oven’s Heat-Heat Fruit ability transformed him into a formidable fighter, and he defeated the Marines guarding the harbor while Katakuri’s team captured a Rear Admiral. After the Marines’ commanders ordered a retreat, King James Glenn collapsed as the immediate threat to his kingdom eased.

  • Katakuri watched Oven demonstrate his boosted strength, speed, and mastery of Soru and Geppo, then judged him powerful enough to defeat an ordinary Vice Admiral.
  • Mousse warned Oven that his enhanced speed and attacks did not improve his durability and that accelerating his metabolism consumed stamina and lifespan.
  • Oven killed one Marine Rear Admiral with a single punch and incapacitated another, while avoiding every attack.
  • Oven explained to Amande that they needed the surviving Devil Fruit user for experiments, and she helped shackle the wounded Rear Admiral.
  • Grumir ordered the Marines to abandon their attack and return to the docks after learning how badly their harbor forces had been defeated.
  • James Glenn realized the crisis had passed and collapsed from exhaustion.

Ch. 13The Fastest Man in the World

James Glenn watched the BIG Pirates attack the Navy at the docks, where Katakuri and Oven overwhelmed the defenders and pursued Vice Admiral Grumir. Grumir awaited Borsalino’s arrival as Katakuri and Oven cornered him.

  • James Glenn recognized the arriving crew as the BIG Pirates after Katakuri and Oven quickly routed the Navy soldiers at the docks.
  • Katakuri trapped dozens of Navy officers with his awakened mochi ability, while Oven killed the officers who could not escape.
  • Grumir escaped and called for reinforcements, then revealed that Borsalino could arrive quickly because of his Glint Glint Fruit.
  • Katakuri ordered Amande to kill the trapped Vice Admirals, and she decapitated Dalmatian before Katakuri caught up with Grumir.
  • Katakuri avoided Grumir’s Haki-infused Shigan by turning his body into mochi, then joined Oven to cut off Grumir’s escape.

Ch. 14The Late Monkey

Katakuri and Oven defeated the remaining Navy commanders, but Borsalino arrived after the massacre and confronted Katakuri. Katakuri adapted to Borsalino’s fighting style, while Borsalino grew alarmed at the younger pirate’s Observation Haki.

  • Katakuri used mochi to pull Vice Admiral Grumir into Oven’s reach, and Oven punched through Grumir’s back, killing him.
  • The BIG Pirates had killed seven Marine Headquarters officers and captured the remaining Rear Admiral, while thousands of Navy soldiers lay defeated and the pirates had suffered no casualties.
  • Borsalino arrived and was horrified by the Navy’s losses, then Katakuri charged him to keep the fight at close range.
  • Katakuri defended against Borsalino’s kick with Mochi Armor and worked out the limits of Borsalino’s light-based attacks.
  • Borsalino became increasingly alarmed by Katakuri’s Observation Haki and talent.

Ch. 15Holding His Own?

Katakuri fought Navy Vice Admiral Borsalino to a standstill, then briefly gained the upper hand with a surprise attack. Borsalino’s speed soon let him attack from range, leaving Katakuri unable to retaliate as Mousse watched with concern.

  • Borsalino struggled against Katakuri’s strength, hardened mochi, and growing Armament Haki, so both fighters drew their weapons.
  • Katakuri and Borsalino clashed with their weapons, while Mousse reasoned that Katakuri’s strength had developed unusually far because of the Hard Mochi idea.
  • Katakuri split off an arm and struck Borsalino in the upper abdomen with Horn Mochi, forcing him to retreat and giving Katakuri the advantage.
  • Amande noticed that Mousse looked worried despite the crew’s cheers, just as Borsalino used his superior speed to retreat and fire lasers at Katakuri from afar.

Ch. 16Kiting?

Mousse devised a way to stop Borsalino from kiting Katakuri and tricked Zeus into helping. The battle shifted as Zeus’s thundercloud canceled Borsalino’s elementalization, leaving him trapped in a close fight with Katakuri.

  • Oven wanted to join Katakuri’s fight, but Amande and Mousse warned that the siblings would only distract Katakuri and risk more casualties.
  • Mousse rejected Brulee’s suggestion to hide in the Mirror World and proposed using Zeus to interfere with Borsalino’s elementalization.
  • Mousse frightened Zeus with a story about Marines capturing and dissecting him, prompting Zeus to transform into a huge thundercloud.
  • Zeus enveloped Borsalino and Katakuri in clouds, canceled Borsalino’s elementalization, and forced him to use his rusty Geppo to avoid falling into the sea.
  • Katakuri closed the distance and struck Borsalino, then gained the advantage in the clouds by relying on his stronger Observation Haki.

Ch. 17The Only Chance

Borsalino escaped Katakuri with a devastating chest wound and fled to Marine Headquarters, where Kong learned how badly he had been injured. In Pharaohs, the BIG Pirates celebrated their victory, but Katakuri’s search for Charlotte Linlin’s family ended with the discovery that her mother had died and been buried.

  • Borsalino evaporated the cloud Homie with Yasakani no Magatama, but Katakuri pierced his chest with Mochi Thrusting Stab.
  • Borsalino escaped to Marineford, where Kong learned that his heart and lungs had been badly damaged.
  • The people of Pharaohs celebrated while the Homies tied up the unconscious Navy forces.
  • Katakuri asked King James Glenn to help find the person the BIG Pirates sought, and James promised to help.
  • The royal family found Charlotte Linlin’s relatives but learned that her father had died two years earlier and her mother had recently died and been buried.

Ch. 18Big Trouble

Katakuri and Mousse worried about how Charlotte Linlin would react to Grandma's death, so Katakuri delayed reporting until the group returned. King James Glenn sought the BIG Pirates' protection for the Pharaohs Kingdom, but Katakuri left the decision to his mother and Mousse proposed a way to link the kingdom to Totto Land by mirror.

  • Katakuri and Mousse decided that Katakuri should report Grandma's death to Charlotte Linlin only after everyone had returned, giving them time and support to manage her reaction.
  • Mousse learned that James Glenn had withdrawn from the World Government because his kingdom could no longer afford the Celestial Gold, and judged that the king had acted out of desperation rather than defiance.
  • Katakuri's group concluded that James Glenn had underestimated the World Government's interest in the Farol Islands and that the Marines would likely attack again.
  • James Glenn asked Katakuri to bring the Pharaohs Kingdom under the BIG Pirates' protection, but Katakuri said he needed Charlotte Linlin's approval first.
  • Mousse suggested that James Glenn prepare a mirror at least eight meters tall and three meters wide so the BIG Pirates could send aid directly through Brulee's Mirror World.

Ch. 19Foundation of Hegemony

Mousse argued that controlling the Farol Islands would give Totto Land iron, food, and the population needed to build a foundation for world conquest, while also helping Charlotte Linlin reconcile with Elbaf. Katakuri worried about the Marines’ response, but Mousse believed they would have time to strengthen their forces and defend the islands.

  • Mousse explained to Katakuri how the Farol Islands’ population, iron mines, and resources could transform the BIG Pirates’ power.
  • Mousse said Charlotte Linlin would support taking the islands because he could use them to improve relations with Elbaf’s Giants.
  • Katakuri warned that the World Government would oppose their control of the islands and that the family might not be strong enough to face the Marines.
  • Mousse argued that the Marines would be occupied until Roger’s capture and would remain wary of the Whitebeard Pirates afterward, giving the family time to fortify the Farol Islands.
  • Mousse reflected that this world’s strongest pirates and Marines were fewer than he had expected, with Roger and Whitebeard at piracy’s peak and Sengoku and Garp leading the Marines.

Ch. 20Pirates Have No Future (Part 1)

Mousse argued that the Charlotte Family needed to confront the Navy while it was weakened, warning Katakuri that their family would eventually be destroyed if it depended entirely on Charlotte Linlin’s protection. The chapter left Katakuri shaken by the prospect of the family declining after their mother’s death.

  • Mousse explained that the Navy could not safely attack the Whitebeard Pirates or the Charlotte Family, especially if Charlotte Linlin and her children grew stronger.
  • Katakuri questioned Mousse’s hostility toward the World Government and opposed risking the family in a direct conflict with the Navy.
  • Mousse argued that the family was already bound to fight the Navy and should do so while the Navy was at its weakest.
  • Mousse asked Katakuri whether the family could survive without Charlotte Linlin, and Katakuri admitted he could never reach her level.
  • Mousse warned Katakuri that the Navy and rival pirates would wipe out the Charlotte Family if it declined after Charlotte Linlin’s death.
