The Flintlock Gun's Shot
"Where is he?"
Ms. Shen wore a pair of silver handcuffs. Their intricate design was covered in elaborate patterns.
At a glance, she showed no signs of injury. Her hands were simply cuffed, though that made it difficult to move. She had also just endured a long journey through some hidden passage, leaving her looking somewhat haggard.
Her hair was no longer neatly combed as before, and several strands had fallen loose. The moment she stepped outside, she looked around at the streets, her gaze seeming a little timid.
When she didn't immediately see the person she wanted to meet, she seemed disappointed, though what she felt most was a subtle sense of relief.
She let out an almost imperceptible breath, composed herself, and said calmly, "Take off my handcuffs, then find me somewhere to go."
"I need to straighten myself up."
As she spoke, she paused slightly and looked at the team member in front of her, Voodoo. Her voice held a hint of negotiation and explanation. "This is the first time I'll have seen him since I sent him into the Void Palace. I don't want him to see me looking so disheveled..."
"Don't worry. I won't run."
"If I hadn't agreed to it, your captain wouldn't have been able to put these handcuffs on me so easily."
"..."
"Heh..."
But Voodoo only gave a cold laugh at her attempt to negotiate. "Do you think you're here for a family visit?"
"This is merely the World Guardians showing mercy and giving you a chance. Of course, it's a chance for him, too."
"You have to finish what the captain ordered before he reaches Linyuan City. Only then will meeting him mean anything, and only then will you have a chance to talk with him
