Chapter 89: The 100% Safe Route?
No matter how nervous Han Su felt, this black cat clearly couldn't care less.
It couldn't even be bothered to spare Han Su another glance. It let out an impatient meow, swung its fat rump, and headed straight for the stairs.
Han Su looked around in every direction, then had no choice but to tiptoe after it.
"Come on, you monster! I'll chop you up..."
"Fuck, you really came..."
When they reached the third floor, he heard Half-Woman's eerie, delighted laughter coming from a nearby room, along with the Irritable Little Boy's fearless stream of curses. Han Su's heart clenched again.
That guy never disappointed. He was still fighting...
But the black cat acted as if it hadn't heard a thing. It turned into a nearby storage room, went behind a cabinet, and squeezed through a half-height door hidden deep out of sight.
Han Su's heart stirred. The path the cat was taking led through hidden passages and gaps he'd never discovered before.
This Ancient Castle was strange. It appeared to be neatly divided into floors, with stairs on either side leading upward, but Han Su had long since noticed that bizarrely enormous rooms sometimes appeared inside it.
For example, on the same floor, one room might have a ceiling three meters high, while another hall could soar seven or eight meters overhead.
There were also countless gloomy, bizarre spaces with strange designs. Some held machines whose purpose was impossible to guess; others displayed unknown objects as if in an exhibition. Walking through them felt like wandering through a chaotic, indescribable nightmare.
Han Su's rule of escape had always been to stay away from strange things and follow only the logic he could understand, searching for a route that might let him get out.
