The shock wave swept out like a gale, spreading in every direction. The tremors soon rippled across the entire Glory City, alarming many powerful figures of the Black Gold rank.

In the Sacred Family, Shen Hong was meditating in a secret chamber, attempting to break through to become a Legend-ranked Demon Spirit Master. Suddenly, he tasted blood in his throat and spat out a mouthful, ruining more than ten days' worth of cultivation.

At the City Lord's Mansion, City Lord Ye Zonghuo had been reading by lamplight and reviewing official documents when he stood up.

At the Star Picking Restaurant, Ghost Fiend suddenly opened his eyes while sitting cross-legged on the bed.

"Did you feel that?"

Deacon Yun Hua, who had been dozing off, looked completely baffled. "Feel what? Is Black Fox back?" They were waiting for Black Fox to complete the mission and bring the target to meet them.

It was the middle of the night already. Black Fox should be back soon.

Ghost Fiend shot Deacon Yun Hua a cold sidelong glance. He might as well have been talking to a cow.

"What a useless fool! You couldn't even feel an earthquake that obvious!" Ghost Fiend looked at Deacon Yun Hua with contempt. "If he weren't doing underground work in the Glory City and familiar with what's going on here, I'd have fired him long ago."

Come to think of it, was this strange phenomenon a natural disaster or a man-made one?

Could it have something to do with Black Fox?

Had the Academy caught him stealing someone?

Ghost Fiend stood up, deciding to go investigate Saint Orchid Academy.

"I'm done looking! Damn it! I've searched forever and haven't found a single hair from a sheep! This is seriously fucking weird!" Lu Piao plopped down on the ground.

Nie Li was just as stumped.

He clearly remembered that there were plenty of Horned Sheep in the Trial Ground. Why couldn't they find a single one now?

"Could some large carnivorous beast, like a Spotted Tiger, have gotten in?" asked a slightly thin commoner student with delicate features. His name was Du Ze, and Nie Li had brought him along to help hunt Horned Sheep.

"Probably not!" Nie Li shook his head. "Apart from Horned Sheep blood, I haven't found even a single sheep bone, let alone any remains. It probably wasn't a Spotted Tiger. It seems more like some kind of serpent that could swallow a Horned Sheep whole."

Suddenly, Nie Li spun around as fast as lightning and looked west in confusion.

He felt a shock wave coming from underground.

"What happened to the west?"

In the Sacred Family's courtyard, Shen Xiu clung to Chang Ping's sturdy, unmoving body like a koala.

She'd nearly been scared to death just now. The ground had shaken violently, and bricks and tiles rained down on them like hail.

With no other choice, she'd hidden behind Chang Ping and wrapped her arms around his waist to keep from falling.

Chang Ping was a freak. The shaking had been so violent, yet he hadn't budged an inch.

Once the ground stopped shaking, Shen Xiu climbed down from Chang Ping's back.

"Hey! What's wrong with you? Are you scared stiff? Say something!" She waved a hand in front of Chang Ping's eyes.

Chang Ping stood there like a wooden post, staring straight ahead with a silly grin on his face.

Chang Ping suddenly grabbed her wrist.

A powerful tug pulled her into his arms.

"What are you doing? Stop!" Shen Xiu panicked when she saw him undoing her belt. Was he going to play around with her in the wrecked courtyard?

Shen Xiu had guessed right.

But Chang Ping wasn't acting on a whim, nor was he celebrating the death of a major enemy. He was testing something.

The Human Dao Divine Art!

It was the soul-force cultivation method the system had rewarded him with after he destroyed Xiangliu's true body.

There were three strongest cultivation arts in the world: the Heavenly Dao Divine Art, the Earth Dao Divine Art, and the Human Dao Divine Art.

Heaven countered Earth, Earth countered Humanity, and Humanity countered Heaven.

"It was only two hundred thousand counterfeit bills. I'll pay you back with two hundred thousand real ones!" Chang Ping hated it when people brought up old scores.

"Hand it over!" Shen Xiu stared at him expectantly and held out her fair hand.

"I don't have it!" Chang Ping shook his head.

Shen Xiu flew into a rage. "If you don't have it, then why the hell did you say that?" Was he making fun of her?

"I don't have it now, but I will in a couple of days." Since Shen Xiu had just been so cooperative in helping him cultivate the Human Dao Divine Art, Chang Ping wouldn't hold it against her. "All right, I've killed Old Monster, so I should head back."

Chang Ping took out the Universal Mask, changed his appearance back to Yu'er's, then stood up and walked toward the gate without looking back.

"Uh... Do you want to move to the Academy and live with me?" Chang Ping was about to unbolt the door when something occurred to him. He turned and asked her, "Why are you looking at me like that? It's not that I can't bear to leave you. I'm worried Old Monster might control Yu'er and come back to take revenge on you."

Although Xiangliu's true body was dead, its soul was still alive.

If his guess was right, it was probably still carrying the Poison Godhead, which made it extremely dangerous.
