Red Lantern Goddess Society Gifts a Sword
The night lay dark and silent, and Evil Spirits ran rampant.
With no other choice, Hu Ma had come up with this plan. He had no idea how many Evil Spirits Xiao Hong Tang had drawn in, but he realized that the Red Lantern Goddess Society usually threw its weight around, driving many Evil Spirits beyond the reach of its red light.
But those who dared linger within the Red Lantern Goddess's light were undoubtedly either exceptionally bold or powerful.
Drawn here by the scent of the Blood Ganoderma in Xiao Hong Tang's hands, they had come. The stuff had already been snatched up and eaten, but now that these Evil Spirits had been roused, there was no easy way to settle things.
They were still in a state of chaos, drifting back and forth through the surrounding darkness and around the village, running here and there on instinct.
Hu Ma could sense the unrest in the night. Under normal circumstances, he would never dare provoke them.
But now, he had summoned his courage and ventured right into their midst.
He picked his way along the uneven country road, but with every step his pace grew steadier and faster. This was clearly territory swarming with Evil Spirits, yet he strode through it with the air of a man in charge, heading straight for the village.
Just then, he suddenly saw a tall, thin figure walking ahead.
The person seemed to be moving more slowly than he was, three or four zhang in front of him, silent and unhurried.
On such a quiet night, I'd run into someone else traveling after dark?
Hu Ma grew wary and slowed his pace, only to see the other person slow down too, as if waiting for him
