Background / History

Wang Dong'er enters the Star Dou Great Forest as a new Shrek Academy student and joins Beibei and Tang Ya in hunting Lu Jing, whom they believe to be an Evil Soul Master. Her initial hostility stems from a strong hatred of Evil Soul Masters, but Lu Jing's claim that he had only just awakened his Martial Soul causes her to question the situation rather than accept the accusation blindly. She manifests the Goddess of Light Butterfly during the search. 3 4

After the World-Destroying Black Lotus battle creates a spatial rift, Wang Dong'er is sent ten thousand years into the past with Lu Jing, Beibei, and the Man in Black. With no known route home, she chooses to accompany Lu Jing and gradually learns that the historical portrayal of Martial Soul Hall differs sharply from the people and events she encounters firsthand. 8 14 15
