But Great Immortal Yang Mei's primordial spirit escaped, leaving the Law of Space incomplete after the Primordial World was created. Di Jiang is essential to perfecting it. That would also count as a measure of merit. I preserved his remnant soul, and later he willingly merged with my primordial spirit. But I want to recover his Spiritual Sense, partly to settle a debt of Karma."
Kong Qiu said, "Teacher, didn't you already repay that debt by helping the Wu Tribe rebuild the Wu Realm and recover the Origin Hall?"
Daoist Hunyuan shook his head. "Karma isn't that simple. Death or repayment can't completely erase it. Once you've crossed paths with someone, you can't wipe that connection away entirely. Those connections may become obstacles on the path of cultivation."
Kong Qiu bowed. "Thank you for your guidance, Teacher. I understand." He summoned two of the lotus seeds to his hand and said to Daoist Hunyuan, "I only need one to restore my physical body.
