"Something was off."

Inside the enclosed space, Xu Yun looked at the "3/100" Knowledge Points in front of him and rubbed his chin, puzzled.

"Where did these three Knowledge Points come from?"

After all, over the past ten years, Xu Yun had started studying for his degree in the Gifted Class and was now working on a Biology Doctorate and a master's in condensed matter physics. It had taken all that time to accumulate 300 Knowledge Points, and he had opened the Three Doors not long ago.

By his calculations, he gained one Knowledge Point every twelve days on average.

Of course, the material he studied at each stage over those ten years varied in quality, so sometimes Knowledge Points might have accumulated faster, and sometimes slower.

But however he looked at it, that still didn't explain why three Knowledge Points had suddenly appeared all at once.

Xu Yun checked the space again. After confirming there were no other anomalies, he returned to reality.

He went over to his desk, picked up a pen and paper, and wrote down a few phrases:

Organizing a research project, expanding his knowledge of ring-closing reactions, Newton's portrait.

These three phrases summed up what he had done since returning from the 1665 Instance:

Organizing a research project had improved his standing as a researcher. The ring-closing reaction was a new piece of knowledge—or perhaps a new line of thinking—that he had gleaned from the recipe he'd been rewarded. Newton's portrait was the recent incident.

Xu Yun drew a line under the last two phrases.

From the standpoint of probability and common sense, the latter two seemed more likely.

He thought it over, then rubbed his chin and analyzed the possibilities.

"If nothing goes wrong, the lab should be able to start trying to synthesize
