A Quick Update on Recent Events, and a Request for Monthly Votes

A lot of you have been asking about my health and how the blind date went, so I thought I'd give you a quick update.

I was hospitalized this time because of a problem with my lower back. I may need endoscopic surgery. Some of my liver levels are still not under control, and the liver cyst is a little frighteningly large.

I've still been coughing up pinkish saliva lately. I don't know if it's a lingering issue from my lung surgery or something else. I could get a regular gastroscopy right away, but it would be painful; I'd have to wait for a slot for a sedated one, and I don't know when that would be yet.

As for the blind date, which everyone's most curious about, I think we both came away with a decent impression of each other (at least, that's how I felt). They went to Zhejiang University, and seemed very articulate and well-traveled.

Still, I'll have to wait and see, and I'll also have to find out what they think of me. After all, a blind date takes two.
