Old Acquaintance

Through connections with Chinese businessmen in Manila, Yang Tiancheng finally received some good news.

Harry was currently vacationing on a private island in the Calamian Islands and was not expected to return to Manila anytime soon.

Yang Tiancheng was getting a bit anxious about this. After all, he couldn't stay in Luzon indefinitely, and there were many matters to attend to at his plantation in Borneo.

"Is that so? Then when I return to Manila at the end of March, we can sit down and discuss it further!"

A middle-aged man, who looked like a butler, appeared on the dock. "Mr. Yang, please follow me. As for the others, they can rest in the dock area!"

Yang Tiancheng had no objections. After all, this was a private island, and the island wasn't large, so there were no large wild beasts, making bodyguards unnecessary.

Moreover, he sensed that Harry didn't seem to like too many people being present for meetings, so he chose to go alone.

After getting into a jeep, they drove along a winding mountain road towards the villa on the mountaintop.

Meanwhile, the bodyguard and assistant who stayed behind were quickly led by enthusiastic servants to the restaurant in the dock area for a meal.

Looking at the table laden with lobsters, sea urchins, abalone, sea cucumbers, roast beef, roast lamb, and top-tier wines, the bodyguard and assistant completely forgot about Yang Tiancheng. They chatted animatedly with the servants while devouring the food and drinking heartily.

Yang Tiancheng, who had gone up to the mountaintop villa, was led by the butler into the villa without any precautions.

Seeing Harry in the living room, Yang Tiancheng immediately walked up with a smile and greeted him. "Mr. Harry, it's a great honor to meet you."

The butler quickly withdrew from the living room, gently closing the door behind him.

As the living room door closed, the space was completely transformed into a cage. Soundproofing materials ensured that no sound from inside could escape, and a specialized electromagnetic shielding layer blocked wireless communications.

The servants standing on either side of Harry slowly pushed aside a screen behind the sofa. Behind the screen was a large, golden-silk nanmu wood table, and a figure sat on a wooden chair, leisurely sipping tea.

Seeing this, Yang Tiancheng instinctively said, "So Mr. Harry has guests. May I ask..."

Suddenly, Yang Tiancheng's voice faltered, and his pupils constricted sharply.

"Long time no see, Tiancheng," Li Qingye calmly set down his teacup.

While speaking, he subtly reached into his pocket, unlocked his phone with his fingerprint, and prepared to dial for help.

"Why don't you sit down and have some tea!" Li Qingye poured a cup of tea and then added, "I forgot to mention, you can't make phone calls from this room. You can put your phone away."

Damn it! Yang Tiancheng's face turned pale, and his voice trembled slightly as he asked, "Li Qingye, what do you want? Many people knew I was coming."

He turned his head again and said, feigning calmness, "Mr. Harry, you should think twice! My Yang family has quite a few friends in Luzon. If you let me go, I'll pretend today never happened."

"Tiancheng, who was involved in the murder of my parents and elder brother back then?" Li Qingye stared into his eyes, his gaze as still as an ancient well.

Feeling a prickle of unease under his gaze, Yang Tiancheng knew he absolutely couldn't admit to it. He immediately resorted to playing dumb, "Qingye, what are you talking about? I don't understand you."

But he didn't know that with his super brain enhancement, Li Qingye's ability to read people had reached a level that could seemingly see into their very souls.

Yang Tiancheng's clumsy attempt to hide his guilt was practically written all over his face.

"It seems you know quite a bit."

Yang Tiancheng continued to deny everything, "Know what? I don't understand what you're saying. This is utterly baffling. Let me go quickly, or my father won't let you off."

"It doesn't matter. As long as I confirm you know, that's enough." The coldness in Li Qingye's eyes was almost overflowing.

Harry, standing beside him, saw Li Qingye's expression for the first time and felt an involuntary shiver run down his spine.

Seeing the situation turn dire, Yang Tiancheng snatched up a vase by the door and charged at the nearest Soldier.

But before he could get close, the Soldier, who had been poised for action, instantly drew a taser and a tranquilizer gun, striking Yang Tiancheng and sending him to the ground, convulsing.

"Take him to the basement," Li Qingye waved his hand.

"Yes," the Soldier immediately bound Yang Tiancheng and lifted him onto a stretcher.

Harry took the phone confiscated from Yang Tiancheng and instructed the butler to call Yang Tiancheng's assistant at the dock area, telling them that Yang Tiancheng would be staying there for a week and they should enjoy themselves at the docks for a few days.

Then, disguised as the butler, the Soldier meticulously mimicked Yang Tiancheng's voice and tone.

Ten minutes later, the butler used Yang Tiancheng's phone to call the assistant, saying that Harry hadn't agreed to sign the contract yet, and he needed to stay on the island for a week to try and persuade him.

With these two calls, the assistant and the bodyguards didn't suspect anything and stayed at the dock area, eating, drinking, and having fun.
