Xian He leaned on the Taining Brush Spear and glared at them like a tiger watching its prey. "I'm not a bloodthirsty man. I'll give you a chance to live. A few days ago, you kidnapped a gardener from the tribe with the surname Chen. Who killed him?"
"You?" Xian He snapped his eyes toward the bandit closest to him.
"No! It wasn't me!" The bandit waved his hands frantically, so scared he nearly wet himself. He hurried to deny any involvement. "I don't even know who that Chen gardener is. How could I have killed him?"
"Pfft!"
Xian He thrust his spear through the bandit's throat.
"You dare lie to me? You're asking for death!" Xian He kicked the bandit to the ground, pulled out the spearhead, and pointed it at another bandit, continuing his fierce interrogation. "Did you kill him?"
"It wasn't me! Really, it wasn't me! That Chen gardener escaped from the prison camp at night and was killed by one of the men on patrol. I was always out robbing people with the Third Boss. It had nothing to do with me." The second bandit offered a little useful information.
Xian He blinked and pressed him. "There were a lot of men patrolling the camp. Which one was it, exactly?"

"You don't know? What nonsense! The patrolmen were your brothers. How could you not know?" Xian He faced the remaining bandits, flicking blood off his spearhead as he spoke. "If I can't find out who killed
