Background / History

The Breaking Clan was once a prominent family known for its offensive strength and alchemy. Its decline began when Yang Wudi’s grandfather, then clan leader, was severely injured in a forced spar with Tang Chen and later died; the clan subsequently became an affiliate of the Clear Sky Sect. 58

By the time Zhao Linchuan visited the clan, the Breaking Clan’s medicinal-pill business with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect had been terminated and its wealth heavily depleted through further suppression. Yang Wudi struggled to preserve both the clan’s independence and its increasingly precarious future. 58 59

Zhao Linchuan offered the immortal herb Aromatic Silk Beauty and revealed that Yang Wudi’s younger brother, Yang Wushuang, might still be alive.
