Just as everyone was still reeling from Muneyoshi's brutal strike,
Zesensky, jolted awake by the pain, struggled free of the wall, then hit the ground hard and scrambled to his feet.
"Cough, cough... You're actually this strong... One ball was all it took to make me look like a fool. You really are asking to die."
Zesensky was covered in wounds, and blood seeped from his back. He looked utterly wretched.
But as someone who had tried to go pro many times, he was in good shape. He could still stand after taking one of Muneyoshi's shots.
Still, the wounds and blood covering his body were all too real.
Feeling the waves of pain coursing through him, Zesensky's gaze shifted from sinister to venomous as he looked at Muneyoshi.
At this point, he no longer cared about the professional qualifying tournament. All he wanted was to get back at Saeki Muneyoshi a hundred or even a thousand times over, and show him what true cruelty looked like.
But Muneyoshi had been on so many expeditions. What kind of people hadn't he encountered?
He didn't care about the other man's ravenous glare. Plenty of people wanted revenge on him. The Captain would have to get in line.
Still, the match had to continue. This was Muneyoshi's qualifying match, after all, and he needed to leave a good impression on the sponsors.
Muneyoshi vowed to himself that as long as his opponent didn't make a move, he would play fair!

The tennis ball bounced up for the last time, and Muneyoshi caught it firmly in his hand.
Casting aside his distracting thoughts, Muneyoshi felt as though his mind and the tennis ball had become one. At last, the strength he hadn't fully unleashed in so long burst forth.
The silver-white apparition
