Mouri Jusaburou looked at Atobe in confusion. He was puzzled, too. That tennis ball should have been easy to return, yet no matter what he did, he couldn't swing his arm.
"My eyes can see every one of your blind spots." Atobe covered his face with his slender fingers and spoke coldly to Mouri. "Now I'm going to get serious."
"You can see my blind spots?"
Atobe's words seemed to make something click for Mouri. He smiled faintly at him. "What a coincidence. So can I."
As soon as he finished speaking, Mouri served.
Thwack...
The orange tennis ball shot toward Atobe's side of the court like an arrow loosed from a bow.
The ball landed, and Atobe's feet moved with incredible speed. In the blink of an eye, he was in front of it.
Swish... Swish... Swish...
It was already May, yet the temperature on the court seemed to drop. In Atobe's eyes, icicles fell from the sky, landing all around Mouri.
"You've surprised me. I never expected you to have so many blind spots..."
As he finished speaking, Atobe raised his racket and returned the ball, sending it crashing into one of the icicles.
Crack...
The sound of an icicle shattering rang across the court. As Mouri stood frozen in place, the ball flew from beneath his feet and out of bounds.→
"30–15. Atobe Keigo scores."
Kannagi announced the score. Atobe's voice rang out coldly across the court. "In the face of your blind spots, your weaknesses are laid bare."
After Atobe scored again with that shot, Mouri was certain that the boy across from him had truly seen through his blind
