"Feitan and Franklin"
Germann had kept up his habit of releasing a small En even while relaxed. That good habit had saved him from a sneak attack that could have left him gravely wounded.
He warily watched the two figures, his body taut as a drawn bowstring.
Two members of the Phantom Troupe emerged from the darkness.
The towering man with earlobes hanging past his shoulders was Franklin. The short one, with his chin hidden by a high collar, was Feitan.
Germann didn't dwell on why he'd run into them here. His mind cleared at once, and he realized that tonight would be a life-or-death battle.
The first joints of all ten of Franklin's fingers had been removed, revealing ten dark gun barrels. He was the Emitter who had just fired Nen Bullets at Germann.
By using his modified fingers as a Restraint and Vow, he had made his Nen Bullets even more destructive while allowing them to fire in rapid succession.
"What a shame." Franklin shook his head, his long earlobes swaying with it. "If the sneak attack had worked, things would be a lot simpler now."
Feitan snorted. "I told you we should've just attacked. Why go to all that trouble sneaking up on him?"
"Feitan," Franklin reminded him. "Have you forgotten what the Leader told us a few days ago?"
Feitan's expression darkened. He muttered a few words under his breath but didn't answer Franklin directly.
Franklin sighed. "A while back, Hisoka killed Bopbov while he was acting alone, so the Leader gave us a new order."
At that, Germann understood.
So the "2" in "2:1," the Text Message Hisoka had sent him a few days ago, referred to the lives of Kopf and Bopbov. He'd been showing off to Germann.
