"Biscuit is waiting for you." Gelman pointed to the large mansion nearby. "I'll take you over."
Menchi followed behind Gelman and touched one of the five bundles of hair she'd tied up. "That blond young man—whose student is he?"
"I'm teaching him," Gelman answered, as expected and yet surprising.
"You've started taking students already? And you're just leaving him there without checking on him?" Menchi walked beside Gelman.
"I set an alarm for half an hour. When it goes off, he'll be done with his Zetsu training for today," Gelman replied.
"I see." Menchi's curiosity was satisfied, only for another question to take its place. "Are the fish you caught for dinner tonight?"
"Yes." Gelman led them to the front door and opened it for them. "Usually, Biscuit, Shizuku, and Wing take turns going out to buy ingredients."
"I don't have any important tasks, so sometimes I catch a few fish to change things up," he continued.
Menchi couldn't help asking, "With all of you living together, who does the cooking?"
"Most of the time, Wing," Gelman said as he entered the hall. "On rare occasions, me."
So the others didn't cook at all? Menchi and Buhara exchanged a knowing look.
Just then, quick footsteps sounded. Biscuit peeked around the stairwell corner, then put on a delighted expression.
"Ah, Menchi, Buhara, you're here!" She hurried over, holding up her skirt. "You know Gelman, and you've probably met his student, Kurapika, too, right?"
"You already know Wing. I'll introduce you to Shizuku and Wing's student, Chikyū, in a bit. Come on in and take a seat in the living room."
Biscuit saw Gelman return with the fish he'd caught, just as planned, and let a sly smile flicker across her face before
