"The Cause of Neon's Death Remains Unknown in the Future"
In the future of the original timeline, Neon couldn't foresee her meeting with Chrollo.
Nor could she foresee the future in which Chrollo used his Specialist Nen ability, Bandit's Secret, to steal Angel's Automatic Notetaking.
Even so, Gelman still felt that the price Neon's current Restraint and Vow demanded—being unable to foresee her own future—was far too small.
Perhaps Neon's inability to learn any other basic or advanced Nen techniques, leaving her with only Angel's Automatic Notetaking, which stemmed from Hatsu, was itself part of a Restraint and Vow.
But this was an ability that could predict the future and even allow others to change it. The Restraint and Vow still wasn't enough.
By comparison, wasn't Kurapika's original Restraint and Vow, which wagered his life, a joke?
In the future of the original timeline, half the Phantom Troupe's members would have died at Kurapika's hands.
But after learning the key turning points from the prophecies, the Phantom Troupe found a way to avoid that future. In the end, only Uvogin and Pakunoda died, while Chrollo's Nen ability was sealed.
Even Gelman, who had seen the future once, had paid a price: he could never return to his original world, and the future was constantly changing, drifting further and further from its original course. That was his Restraint and Vow.
This inevitably brought to mind the fact that Chrollo had later stolen Neon's Nen ability, and that she had died under mysterious circumstances.
Gelman believed there were two possibilities.
The first was that Neon had been murdered.
Her killer might have been an enemy of the Nosra Family, or it might have been an accident. Whatever the case, someone had killed her.
Hisoka was also a major suspect.
