He nudged the corpse over with his toe, allowing him to see what it looked like.
The enemy had the face of a cold-blooded animal, covered in tiny gray scales and thorn-like protrusions. A long, curled tongue hung from its half-open mouth.
Along the edges of their thick necks, between their fingers and toes, and at their waists, they had light, expandable webbing. It was what had allowed them to launch their attack from above.
"They're Lizardmen."
Scylla's hoofbeats stopped beside Gelman. The bloodstained "Spiral Spear of Gale" in his hand pointed diagonally toward the ground.
Gelman turned to Scylla. "Are you familiar with them? Why did they attack us?"
