Gelman held the Sacred Moonlight Greatsword loosely in one hand, angled down to his side. He turned slightly and glanced toward the king surrounded by all those Demons.
His eyes lowered a little, and he couldn't help thinking of Meruem.

He left his back in the hands of the dependable Shizuku and Kurapika, along with Machi, Pakunoda, and the others, with whom he had formed a wartime alliance.
Then he charged into the enemy ranks alone, greatsword in hand.
"Catch him!" Zazan laughed so hard her waist shook. To her, Gelman had just made a terrible move. "Take him alive! He'll make excellent material for 'reincarnation injections.'"
He could become a new Royal Guard, and perhaps even gain more... Zazan greedily licked her lips.
With Zaiiro silent, Zazan's orders took top priority. Without hesitation, the Demons surged forward like a tide.
But the instant Gelman swung the impossibly heavy-looking greatsword and unleashed his first crescent-shaped slash, everything changed.

After the dazzling green light and the terrifying Nen Energy faded, the Demons that had been blocking Gelman's path vanished like bubbles popping into thin air.
An entire swath of ground had been sheared away, leaving a cross-section as smooth as a clean cut through tofu.
If not for the rain of bloody chunks falling from above, Zazan might not even have realized what had happened.
H-how... How could something like this be possible?
