Kajin Dorudo could hardly believe his eyes.
Two figures had suddenly appeared not far away, and one of them was someone he knew—or at least, had met before.
When he challenged Hisoka again at the Sky Arena, he had seen Gelman and Illumi there.
Gelman had given him advice on training his Nen ability.
Illumi, on the other hand, had looked down on him.
As for how Meleoron, the chameleon-like Demi-human, had ended up with Illumi and appeared before him, Kajin Dorudo had no idea.
He was only temporarily employed by the Hunter Association, so of course he had no way of knowing that Meleoron, a Chimera Ant, was aboard BW1.
Illumi slowly rose to his feet, the golden needles in his hand poised to strike. He looked at Hisoka. "Hmm... How did you sense our presence?"
"Do you mean his ability?"
One of Hisoka's fingers detached from his already disassembled arm, floated by itself in midair, and pointed at Meleoron.
"His ability is impressive, but my senses are even sharper. As long as you have murderous intent, I can sense your presence."
Illumi pondered for a moment, then nodded in sudden understanding.
He didn't seem the least bit anxious about the situation.
"I understand. It's about 'priority,' right?"
"One ability erases its user's presence, while the other senses that presence whenever it detects murderous intent."
"When two contradictory abilities clash, it's like the descriptions in a game: whichever effect has higher priority takes effect."
Meleoron was still coughing up blood violently. That last blow had caved in the chest of his green-skinned body.
He felt completely drained and couldn't get back up, no matter how hard he tried.
As Meleoron's teeth chattered, he listened to Hisoka and Illumi's conversation, consumed by regret.
He should never have listened to Illumi.
