The fires in most of the cabins on the wreckage of BW1 had died down. There was nothing left to burn. Only a few cabins were still ablaze.
With a creak, a damaged door was torn off its hinges and tossed onto the waterlogged corridor.
Knuckle ducked as he entered the room, one hand shielding his precious pompadour.
The room was charred and strewn with debris. A stiff, burnt corpse lay on the floor, one hand outstretched. Knuckle frowned.
Half an hour ago, Gelman and Shizuku had returned to the Ancient Labyrinth station and told them what had happened on the Uncharted Continent and aboard BW1.
Knuckle and the others had been stunned.
But once the shock wore off, they got busy gathering every useful supply in the castle and having Shizuku's "Evil Tenderfoot" swallow them.
Afterward, Gelman had taken Shizuku, Knuckle, and Menchi to the upper deck of BW1 first.
Then he had gone back to the Ancient Labyrinth station to fetch Shubika and Buhara as well.
Finally, Gelman had told everyone to wait there. He used up three unused Lanterns to teleport back to Greed Island with Shizuku.
While they waited, Knuckle, Menchi, Shubika, and Buhara had searched BW1 for any supplies that might still be left.
After seeing the devastation aboard BW1 for themselves, their hearts sank.
Knuckle was especially worried about Morel, Shoto, Nobunaga, Pam, and the others, whose whereabouts were still unknown.
He left the room and shouted toward the one across the corridor, "There's nothing left in here. It's all burned up."
"Same here," Buhara called, poking his head out of another room.
Then, with considerable effort, he squeezed his huge body through the doorway, like a ball being forced out of a fist.
Menchi and Shubika emerged from other
