The Fairy Girl's enormous head tumbled downward, but her two hands caught it just in time.
She wouldn't let herself die just like that. As carefully as if she were lifting a precious porcelain vase, she raised her own head.
Her twisted, monstrous face was filled with darkness where her eyes and mouth gaped open, like well water beneath a shadow.
Whoosh—
A strange wind stirred. The black miasma of Grudge filling the sky seemed to fall into a vortex, rushing all at once into the head's eyes and mouth.
Pfft, pfft, pfft—
Gelman could tell that the head was gathering power.
He couldn't stay where he was and wait for death.
His Black Wings transformed into silver-white wings. He flew diagonally above the head, wielding the Black Greatsword in both hands as he gathered power of his own, preparing to cleave through the head with his next Slash Wave.
Unexpectedly, the Fairy Girl holding her severed head moved even faster. Her magnificent golden wings beat, and her enormous body shot into the air.
She flew skyward, both hands supporting her head and holding it against her abdomen.
Then terrifying beams of annihilating black light shot from the head's eyes and mouth!
Boom—
Gelman instantly turned silver-white from head to toe and flew away at top speed.
But the Fairy Girl clung to her severed head and refused to let up. She kept adjusting her position so the annihilating black light could catch up with Gelman as he flew at high speed.
The annihilating black light pursued Gelman relentlessly. He flew close along the enormous wall, and the beams spared no effort in blasting it apart as they swept after him!
He had no choice but to fly out beyond the wall, only to be entangled in countless Grudges in
