Doon had deliberately given Rimuru Castle's dining room an antique design. The crystal chandeliers and candleholders cast a soft, dim glow.
The long table was laden with all kinds of delicious dishes, prepared by none other than the dozing Granny Lin Nie, seated at the head.
"So that's how it happened!" After hearing Gon describe how their team had recently cleared the large-scale Chimera Ant King dungeon, Doon couldn't help bursting into laughter.
His messy, explosive hairstyle bobbed as he turned toward Gelman across the table.
"I nearly forgot—you can be summoned by 'Hero's Arrival' too... So, Gelman, what did you think of the Ant King? Did I do a decent job designing it?"
"Pretty good." Gelman speared a cherry tomato with his fork and popped it into his mouth. "It was challenging, but not impossible to deal with."
He was judging the Ant King from the perspective of an ordinary player. But then he pointed out a shortcoming.
"Wasn't the Ant King's predictive dodging after the second phase a bit too frequent? Just because I could hit it didn't mean the players could."
Suddenly, a sphere on the table lit up and projected a second hologram alongside Alluka's: the dull-witted-looking Ikshampé.
But Ikshampé wasn't nearly as foolish as his virtual appearance made him seem.
He immediately retorted, "The Ant King was designed to handle attacks from multiple players, including their Nen abilities, cards, and all kinds of countermeasures."
"Without that predictive dodging, as well as its enormous health bar, the players would simply gang up on it and kill it with ease."
"Do you think every player can take down the Ant King alone, like you did?"
Doon snapped his fingers. "Exactly. Ikshampé and I designed the Ant King with that philosophy in mind. It needed to be challenging."
