Gelman wasn't just talking. Their formation really was tight.
Sodam, pale-faced and squinting, stood at the front. Aura surged from the sleeve of his empty arm and condensed into his "Strong Left Arm."
In the middle was Rikudou, seated in a wheelchair and wearing a yellow hood like a boxer's. The two long whips in his hands blurred as they flickered back and forth.
At the rear was Zushi, his upper body encased in a red protective suit, while a single metal rod supported his lower half. The nine tops moved by his cane were still spinning at high speed.
They formed a slowly advancing formation like a tank, with clearly defined roles. They could cover long-, mid-, and close-range attacks when advancing, and protect one another when retreating.
The chilling sight of the trio drew plenty of attention from people nearby.
"Ah... aren't they..."
Everyone recognized Sodam, Rikudou, and Zushi. They were strong fighters who had reached the 200th floor of the Sky Arena, local celebrities and regular favorites at the betting tables.
As for the man in the black robe, no one recognized him. He was probably some nobody.
Were they really going to fight in the middle of the street?
Though no one knew what their grudge was, they weren't about to pass up the chance to watch for free. They cleared a space, then stared at the scene without blinking.
Come on, fight! Fight! they shouted in their hearts.
In truth, Gelman, one of the people involved, had no idea when he'd gotten tangled up with the trio.
Before he could ask, the three moved a little closer. Then Zushi launched all nine tops at once. They traced seemingly wild, chaotic paths through the air, all aimed at Gelman.
Looks like there's no talking this out,
