Illumi helped Hisoka out of the crater left by Bopbov's conjured "Jupiter." Hisoka was covered in bruises and blood, and one of his arms had been severed.
"Hey." Hisoka spat a mouthful of blood onto the ground, then grinned, his teeth streaked with blood. The smile was horrifying. "I'm still alive. Are you all disappointed?"
He directed the question at everyone present. Even Gelman and Illumi must have harbored the thought that perhaps it would be for the best if Hisoka died here.
Chrollo's coat had been torn to shreds during the fight with Hisoka. He stood in the cold grassland wind in nothing but a thin white shirt, hands in his pockets, frowning as he watched Hisoka.
Hisoka had been in a tough spot against Chrollo, Bopbov, and Kopf. To take one of them out first, he had sacrificed an arm to kill Kopf in a single strike.
That had given Hisoka a chance to catch his breath and made things easier, but only slightly. He was still in grave danger.
After that, Chrollo and Bopbov had lured Hisoka into chasing them, making him bleed more and more as he ran.
Chrollo had then set a trap that briefly immobilized Hisoka, before Bopbov finished things off with "Jupiter's Descent."
After suffering such a relentless assault, Hisoka shouldn't have been able to survive. So why was he still breathing?
Chrollo didn't understand.
"Chrollo, it was my grudge against you." Hisoka knew what everyone was wondering, so he explained.
"I just wanted to fight you one-on-one and see who came out on top. But you prepared all these 'guards.' What a pain. I ended up falling into your trap instead."
"So, as I lay dying, I stuck my fingers into my chest and placed a 'grudge' on myself."
