"Depart on April Fools' Day"
Shubika was upstairs in her room." Biscuit shrugged. "She still isn't used to being around so many strangers."
Shizuku raised a hand. "I've only met her once."
"I've seen her a few times," Wing said with a helpless look. "Though most of those times were accidental encounters at Hunter Association headquarters."
Biscuit spread her hands and smiled. "She's just a shy girl. Oh... So cute. I want to use her as a pillow."
"If she's that socially anxious, how will she get her work done?" Gelman asked, getting straight to the point.
"She researches viruses, so she spends most of her time in the lab," Biscuit explained. "And when she's treating someone, her personality does a complete 180."
"What do you mean?" Gelman asked.
"She becomes completely focused and forgets how socially anxious she is," Biscuit replied. "She's very serious and responsible about her work. In her eyes, patients are different from other people."
After listening, Gelman nodded. "Then I have no concerns about her. We still need to discuss the final preparations, though. Should we ask her to come down and join us?"
"It's fine. She thought of that already." At this, Biscuit burst out laughing. Then she pulled a tablet out from behind a cushion and set it on the table.
The tablet screen lit up, revealing a chat window and a small speaker icon in the lower-right corner, indicating that its audio was being played through the speaker.
Gelman, Shizuku, and Wing were all dumbfounded.
A few lines of large Hunter script appeared on the tablet screen, all in size 1 font.
"Hello, I'm Shubika. I'm sorry to communicate with you this way."
