Background / History
Gozaburo Kaiba transferred the memories of his biological son Noah into a computer after Noah died in an accident. Gozaburo later abandoned his plans for Noah after discovering that he harbored thoughts of destroying the world. Noah did not know his father had discarded him 38.
Noah hijacked the Duel Airship carrying Yugi and the Kaiba brothers, then trapped the passengers in a virtual world with the Great Five Elders. After the elders failed to stop Yugi, Noah erased them. He held Mokuba hostage and challenged Yugi, hoping that defeating Seto’s rival would prove himself superior to Seto 25 29 31.
Yugi defeated Noah, who released Mokuba as promised. Noah then challenged Seto on the condition that everyone be freed from the virtual world, but lost again. When Gozaburo appeared and revealed that he had treated Noah as a tool, Noah fell into despair. Yugi’s words and Mokuba’s invitation to join their family helped him change course 38.
Personality
Noah is proud and initially confident that he can defeat Yugi. Yugi’s repeated traps make him angry and increasingly cautious, though he continues searching for a way to win 31 32 34 35. His defeats and Gozaburo’s rejection leave him questioning his existence; afterward, he becomes more receptive to Yugi and Mokuba 38.
