A Mysterious Voice

"Whew, what a powerful body. Is this what it's like to have a body empowered by a Fighting-type Pokémon?"

After transforming into Riolu, Luo Sa clenched his fists, and a surge of tremendous strength welled up inside him.

At the same time, he could feel that his control over his body had improved dramatically.

He could clearly feel every muscle, every bone, and every tendon in his body, and he could control them at will.

"Then... let's give it a try!"

A glint flashed in Luo Sa's eyes as he pushed off with his foot.

In an instant, he vanished from where he stood. With a loud crash, his body slammed straight into the opposite wall.

In terms of explosive speed alone, an untrained Riolu was already almost as fast as the Winged Gull he had trained for so long!

"It really worked! I actually used Soru!"

Luo Sa stared up at the ceiling, his face full of delight!

He had tried using Soru before in his Winged Gull Half-Beastman form, but the results had been poor.

Now, after a single transformation, he could use Soru. That proved that the Marine Six Styles were truly suited to Fighting-type Pokémon!

After calming himself down a little, Luo Sa finally had a chance to examine his Riolu form.

He closed his eyes, and the energy within Riolu's body came into focus.

The strongest energy was undoubtedly Fighting type!

Besides Fighting type, Normal type also made up a significant portion. The other types were much weaker.

After sensing the energy within his body, he began to examine his skills.

Riolu had three basic skills: Quick Attack, Foresight, and Endure!

Quick Attack increased his speed and added an attack. It was an extremely useful skill.

As for Foresight and Endure, he couldn't yet tell exactly what they did. He would have to confirm their effects in actual combat.

"Quick Attack!"

Luo Sa focused, and activated it.

His figure vanished from where he stood.

Once again, Luo Sa's body sank deep into the wall. Clearly, he couldn't adapt to Quick Attack's speed.

Soru and Quick Attack... They have a lot in common. I wonder if I can combine them? Luo Sa pondered, his eyes growing brighter and brighter.

Having taken his first steps in mastering Soru, Luo Sa had gained a much deeper understanding of it. Now he was confident he could manage the basics even after returning to normal!

The biggest change after entering the Elite Camp was that training had become much more flexible.

Now, the members of the Elite Camp only had to report their training progress to Zephyr once a week. The rest of the time, they were left entirely to their own devices.

So even if he didn't return that night, it wouldn't be a problem!

"Whew, then I'll keep going and make Soru a true part of my strength!" Luo Sa smiled as his form began to change at incredible speed.

This time, he returned to his original body—Anduin D. Luo Sa.

He closed his eyes and began to sense his own body.

Luo Sa's eyes flew open, his face full of delight.

He discovered that after transforming into Riolu, his control over his body had reached an entirely new level!

This wasn't an increase in strength. He simply understood his body far more thoroughly!

To put it in more profound terms, his talent had improved!

That was right. Control over the body was innate; it was a talent one was born with!

Just as some people were naturally well-balanced while others had poor balance!

"Soru!"

A glint flashed in Luo Sa's eyes as he recalled the feeling of using Soru.

At the same time, he consciously controlled the muscles and bones throughout his body, making them work together.

Luo Sa vanished in an instant.

As before, unable to control Soru, Luo Sa plunged headfirst into the wall!

His search turned up nothing. Luo Sa couldn't help looking down at the ground beneath his feet.

Confusion couldn't probe underground. That was the only blind spot!

"I'll try again. It'll be good practice for Gastly, too!"

Luo Sa recalled what had happened the last time he went underground. That pressure had been a kind of training in itself.

With a thought, Gastly's body slowly sank into the ground.

After descending to a certain depth, Gastly's body began to feel the tremendous pressure coming from every direction.

"Hang on a little longer!"

The next moment, Luo Sa suddenly felt the pressure ease. After breaking through a short stretch, he found himself inside another cave.

The cave was about the same size as Seagull Cave, but in its center was a pool about the size of an indoor swimming pool.

"Could the voice have come from here?"

Luo Sa began probing with Confusion, but found nothing.

"Underwater?"

Luo Sa's gaze sharpened as he sent Confusion down into the water.

He soon discovered that the pool was ten meters deep. There was no passage connecting its bottom to the outside, and the water held only some ordinary blind fish and aquatic plants.

"Although I haven't found the source of that mysterious voice, this place is perfect for training in secret. No matter how wild I get, no one will find me!"

Unable to find the source of the voice, Luo Sa decided not to dwell on it. He quietly took in the cave.

Without Gastly's ability to pass through walls, he probably never would have found his way in here.

"Looks like I can finally start training the idea I've had for a long time!"

Luo Sa looked at the pool, excitement in his eyes.

"I choose you, Magikarp!"
