This time, Jabura reacted in time. He instantly used Tekkai, making all of Luo Sa's attacks feel as though they were hitting steel.
A cloud of dust settled. Jabura clutched his still-bleeding backside with one hand and warily watched Luo Sa.
"I didn't expect you to survive, let alone find a Paramecia Devil Fruit!" Jabura said with a frown.
"Ahaha! I really ought to thank you for that. If it weren't for you, how could I have gotten so lucky and found this Paramecia Mud-Mud Fruit?"
Luo Sa gave a cold laugh and played along with Jabura's assumption.
He had already planned this out. He couldn't let anyone discover the truth about the Zoan Type: Mythical Zoan - Ditto Fruit or his identity as a transmigrator. The Mud-Mud Fruit was an excellent cover for now.
"The Mud-Mud Fruit!"
Jabura furrowed his brow. He'd never heard of that Devil Fruit before. Aside from Luo Sa's mud-like body, he had no idea what other abilities it might have.
Luo Sa watched Jabura but made no move to attack. His opponent was already badly wounded and still bleeding heavily. In other words, the longer he could drag things out, the better for him!
A moment later, Jabura suddenly shook his head and looked at Luo Sa with mockery.
"Kid, you're still too green. You think that was enough to seriously injure me? I'm a wolf, and my ability to heal is beyond anything you can imagine!"
Jabura laughed and lowered the hand covering his backside.

Luo Sa's expression changed. He knew Zoan Devil Fruit users had tremendous healing abilities, but he hadn't expected them to be this terrifying. In just a moment, Jabura had already recovered enough to move!

Jabura let out a low growl. All ten of his fingers used one of the Six Powers, Finger Pistol, firing shots from a distance!
Luo Sa knew the Marine Six Styles inside and out from the original story. He immediately dropped to the ground and turned his body to stone to block the Finger Pistols.

Explosions rang out, sending dust flying everywhere!
"Huh? Why are these Finger Pistols so weak?"
Feeling the spots where the Finger Pistols had struck, Luo Sa was puzzled to find that they only hurt a little.
The next moment, his expression changed. He hurriedly scrambled to his feet and brushed away the dust, then looked toward his opponent.
Jabura was nowhere to be seen.
"Where is he?" Luo Sa cried in alarm, rushing over.
As he drew closer, he immediately spotted a trail of blood.
"So he was bluffing! The Finger Pistols were so weak because he really was badly injured, and he only fired them to stop me and buy himself time to escape!"
Luo Sa realized what had happened and immediately started tracking him along the trail of blood.
It took him a full ten minutes to cross the forest and race to the beach.
Jabura had already climbed onto a sea scooter and ridden quite a distance out to sea!
Although Jabura was badly wounded, he was still slightly faster than Luo Sa in his wolf form.
"Damn it! I had such a good chance, and I still let him get away!"
Luo Sa watched the figure receding into the distance, his expression dark.
He could imagine Jabura calling for backup as soon as he got back. By then, Luo Sa would have no way to escape!
"No way to escape... Looks like I have to transform early, even if this isn't the Pokémon I wanted!"
Luo Sa's face darkened. This would ruin the plan he'd already made, but he had no choice now!
His energy was between 269 and 270, while Pidgey, a Flying Attribute Pokémon, had a base stat total of exactly 250. He had enough energy to transform.
