Chapter Summaries

[Eternity] and [Infinity] showed Zhu Mang the history of the universe and explained how [Death] corrupted Thanos into a tool for her cause. [Infinity] revealed that the Celestials were also plotting to overthrow the Creator Gods, leaving Zhu Mang with the reason behind the coming conflict.

• [Eternity] told Zhu Mang that Ancient One had changed her plans after speaking with him, then began recounting the universe’s history.
• The story described how the Five Creator Gods and Celestials shaped the universe, created life on Earth, and later became divided over how to maintain cosmic balance.
• The Creator Gods forged the [Infinity Stones] to oppose one another, and the Stones scattered across the universe.
• [Death] gradually corrupted the gifted infant Thanos, turning him into a tool meant to bring about death, oblivion, and balance.
• Zhu Mang asked whether [Death] had lied to Thanos about stopping the Celestials, and [Infinity] said that some Celestials really were conspiring to seize control of the universe.

Zhu Mang learned that Eternity and Infinity had empowered him to deal with rebellious Celestials, then returned to Xandar and traveled with Thanos to Ego the Living Planet. There, he began stripping away a large patch of Ego’s surface, leaving Thanos stunned.

• Infinity explained that the Celestials’ ideological war had led Eternity and Infinity to divide the universe into separate realms for Mutants, Inhumans, and the remaining inhabitants.
• Infinity expanded Zhu Mang’s Ouroboros Space to a radius of ten thousand kilometers and integrated it into his body, while Eternity added adjustable time acceleration of up to one hundredfold.
• Zhu Mang refused offers of eternal life and immense power, agreeing only to deal with Celestials who threatened them and not to provoke the others.
• Zhu Mang returned to Xandar, confirmed that Ouroboros Space had merged into his body, and chose not to tell Thanos about Death’s actions.
• Zhu Mang and Thanos arrived on Ego the Living Planet, where Zhu Mang dug up hundreds of meters of soil, plants, and rocks and stored them in his space.

Zhu Mang planted a Spirit Tree in Ego the Living Planet, causing it to drain Ego’s life force. He lent Thanos the Infinity Gauntlet and Power Stone to protect the tree, and Thanos chose to fight Ego as it grew.

• Zhu Mang reshaped his space and excavated a large patch of Ego’s surface.
• Ego attacked Zhu Mang with energy whips, but Thanos used the Infinity Gauntlet to destroy them.
• Zhu Mang planted a glowing seed that rapidly grew into a Spirit Tree and began draining Ego’s life force.
• Zhu Mang lent Thanos the Power Stone and offered him a choice between protecting the tree or rebelling for the treasures.
• Thanos chose to attack Ego, and the two began fighting as Ego launched energy whips across the planet.

Zhu Mang helped Thanos defeat Ego, harvested the enlarged Mental Fruits, and destroyed the lifeless planet. He then took Mantis with him and continued gathering valuable items at Knowhere and Sakaar.

• Mantis revealed Ego’s true nature to Star-Lord and the Guardians, who escaped while she chose to follow Zhu Mang.
• Thanos defeated Ego while Zhu Mang’s Mental Tree drained him, and Zhu Mang harvested fruits far larger than those grown on Emerald God Planet.

Zhu Mang freed Sakaar, helped Thor defeat Hela, and brought several new members and treasures back to Earth. He strengthened the Justice League with Mental Fruits and focused on training his Super Saiyan form toward Full Power.

• Zhu Mang rescued Thor, Hulk, and Valkyrie from Sakaar, killed the Grandmaster, and left as the people honored him as the King of Liberation.

More than two years later, Zhu Mang left Wanda to seek greater power, and Wanda used preserved material to begin carrying their child as she vowed to wait for his return.

• Zhu Mang and Wanda destroyed the Pentagon after its leaders tried to use the Superhuman Registration Act to restrain him, and Zhu Mang killed Red Hulk when he attacked Hulk.
• Zhu Mang renamed the alliance the Injustice League, and Iron Man, Nick Fury, and Hill learned that he did not intend to establish a dictatorship.
• Wakanda and T'Challa backed the Injustice League, while Iron Man’s Avengers dwindled and Captain America fled with Winter Soldier after Winter Soldier was implicated in the Vienna attack and the murder of Iron Man’s parents.
• Iron Man defeated Captain America and Winter Soldier in a smaller civil war, imprisoning Winter Soldier and placing Captain America under house arrest; Dormammu never invaded the real dimension.

The Ginyu Force arrived on Earth to find the Wish Orbs, while Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz followed to seek immortality and overthrow Frieza. As both groups headed toward powerful energy signatures, Master Roshi sensed the danger and flew to confront them, and Raditz remembered that his brother Kakarot had been sent to Earth.

• Recoome destroyed a city with a ki blast, so Captain Ginyu reprimanded him and warned the team not to damage the Wish Orbs.
• Jeice and Burter detected powerful energy signatures, and the Ginyu Force flew toward them.
• Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz arrived in a failing spaceship, destroyed it, and planned to wait for the Ginyu Force to make its move.
• Vegeta spotted Earth's moon, while Broly, Son Goku, and Tien Shinhan trained under Master Roshi's supervision.
• Master Roshi sensed powerful kis approaching, told Son Gohan to gather the others, and flew off to meet them.

Master Roshi easily defeated Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz, then rushed back to Kame House as the Ginyu Force arrived. Ginyu recognized Goku and Broly as Saiyans, and Burter knocked Goku away when he charged.

• Vegeta ordered Raditz to attack Master Roshi, but Roshi dodged every strike without moving more than a little.
• Vegeta and Nappa charged Roshi, who used Thunder Shock Surprise to paralyze all three Saiyans and then flew toward Kame House.
• Gohan, Goku, Broly, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu spotted the Ginyu Force approaching, while Gohan kept Broly's rising power under control.
• The Ginyu Force landed at Kame House and introduced themselves with their elaborate poses.
• Jeice pointed out Goku and Broly's tails, and Ginyu called for the Saiyan remnants to be wiped out for Frieza.
• Goku charged Ginyu, but Burter intercepted him and sent him flying with a kick.

Broly unleashed his power after Goku fell, but Captain Ginyu used his body-switching technique to take Broly's body. Ginyu killed Son Gohan with his newfound strength, while Broly mourned in Ginyu's body and Ginyu revealed Broly's power level had reached one million.

• Son Gohan ran to Goku as Broly's power surged, and Broly defeated Burter in a single attack.
• Ginyu tried to attack Broly, but Broly crushed his wrist before Ginyu used his Change technique to switch bodies with him.
• Ginyu, now in Broly's body, reveled in its power, while Broly struggled with the pain of his crushed hand in Ginyu's body.

Zhu Mang returned to Earth during the battle with Ginyu and restored Broly to his own body. After Broly vowed to avenge Son Gohan by defeating Frieza, Zhu Mang planned to take him to Frieza’s base.

• Master Roshi, Vegeta, and Nappa fought Ginyu in Broly’s body, but Ginyu’s control of Broly’s power improved as the battle went on.

After learning why Frieza and the Ginyu Force came to Earth, Zhu Mang set out with Broly to stop Frieza on Namek. He tasked Little Goku and the others with gathering the Dragon Balls to revive the dead, including Goku’s grandfather, and restore the damage to Earth.

• Zhu Mang pieced together from Ginyu’s and the Saiyans’ memories that Frieza was hunting Gebinz, had sent the Ginyu Force to Earth, and had gone to Namek.
• Zhu Mang took Broly with him to confront Frieza, while refusing Little Goku’s request to join because he was too weak.
• Zhu Mang told Little Goku that the Dragon Balls could grant a wish, and Goku resolved to gather them to revive his grandfather and other victims.
• Zhu Mang explained that one wish could restore all the people and damage caused by the Ginyu Force, and Tien Shinhan volunteered to help.

• Dr. Brief found that detecting the Dragon Balls would require special materials, so Zhu Mang postponed the search and arranged to preserve Old Gohan’s body.
• Nappa realized that Gebinz was Vegeta’s uncle by marriage, since Gebinz had once been involved with Vegeta’s aunt, Selina.
• Zhu Mang and Broly arrived on Namek, where Nail was fighting Frieza in his second transformed form.

He reluctantly joined the Time Patrol and received a Ring of Time, leaving him alone with Selina after Chronoa departed.

• Zhu Mang recalled Silas and Mechikabura’s terrifying power and feared that his timeline might be part of the dangerous Super Dragon Ball Heroes setting.
• Selina and Chronoa appeared before Zhu Mang, and Selina caught his punch despite his Super Saiyan transformation and mental-pressure attack.
• Chronoa explained that she had taken Selina to the Time Nest after mistaking her for an anomaly, while Porunga had wrongly concluded Selina had died and reincarnated.

• Selina explained how time travelers and dark mages caused trouble across timelines, and Zhu Mang resolved to eliminate the Dark Demon Realm.
• The Namekians departed for New Namek, while Son Goku, Bulma, and Tien Shinhan set out to collect Dragon Balls earlier than in the original timeline.
• Zhu Mang persuaded Kami to help cleanse his other half and chose Pilaf as the means to release King Piccolo, planting the idea in Pilaf's mind through a dream.
• Son Goku's group gathered six Dragon Balls, met the Ox-King, saved Fire Mountain, and brought Son Goku and Chi-Chi together.

Little Goku defeated King Piccolo, and Zhu Mang captured Piccolo’s egg before recruiting Pilaf and helping Goku gather the Dragon Balls. After Goku and Tien Shinhan received Tree of Might fruits and the Saiyans trained with Master Roshi, Zhu Mang offered Vegeta a fruit if he called him uncle.

• Little Goku destroyed King Piccolo’s Ki blast, pursued him, and killed him with a Ki wave; Zhu Mang caught the egg King Piccolo spat out.
• Zhu Mang told Little Goku that Piccolo could be raised to become a good warrior, then joined him as Tien Shinhan, Bulma, and Pilaf’s group faced off over the Dragon Balls.
