At the barbecue stall at the alley entrance, a whole table was occupied by a group of men.
Their leader was bare-chested, a thick gold chain hanging around his neck, with a dragon tattoo stretching over his shoulder. He barked orders and shouted loudly.
Six or seven young men sat below him, wearing tight white tank tops and pants, with little bean-toe shoes. They were the very picture of flashy young punks.
Most striking of all, every one of them had a shaved head. They were making quite a racket!
The older guys at the tables nearby all frowned, looking thoroughly annoyed.
The dragon-tattooed leader looked up and cursed, "What the hell's taking so long? Can't you bring the beer out? If you don't hurry the hell up, we'll have eaten all the skewers!"
Aunt Zhou smiled apologetically. "It'll be right out, big brother!"
Zhou Yuqing had come to help after school. With her hair tied in a ponytail and an apron around her waist, she hurried over carrying six or seven large mugs of draft beer.
At that, the dragon-tattooed leader and his underlings promptly lost interest in the beer.
Zhou Yuqing was pretty and petite, the very picture of the girl next door.

"How about this? The whole table's on the house!"
"Yuqing? Why don't you hurry home?"
One of the underlings immediately stood up and shouted, "What's that supposed to mean? You think our big brother isn't good enough for her?"

The dragon-tattooed leader still wouldn't let go. His face was full of menace as he said coldly, "What, you look down on me? I'm telling you, she's drinking with me tonight!"
Zhou Yuqing had never encountered anything like this. Her eyes reddened as she kept trying to pull away.
Just then, an older guy at the next table couldn't take it anymore. He stood up and yelled, "You've had a few damn drinks and forgotten your own name?"
"That girl's still in high school! Have some damn shame!"
His blood was up, and the people beside him couldn't hold him back.
The dragon-tattooed leader got riled up and raised his beer bottle, about to smash it over the older guy's head!
But just then, a hand caught the bottle firmly. Jiang Nan stood there with a smile.
"What the hell? What's going on?"
"Where'd this little bald guy come from?"
"Brother Jiangnan?" Zhou Yuqing stared at Jiang Nan with red-rimmed eyes.

Jiang Nan looked bashful. "Hehe, I've admired you for ages, big brother. I just never had the chance!"
"By the way, what was your name again?"
The dragon-tattooed leader: "???"

The diners at the nearby tables were completely dumbfounded!

Then he kicked him away!
The guy flew seven or eight meters and slammed headfirst into the alley wall.
