The Core AI said coolly, "The reason the Silicon Base Race grew this powerful was our absolute rationality. Nothing can influence our choices or judgment!"
"Compared to making this public knowledge among the myriad races, the benefits our race could gain are nowhere near as practical as using this matter to threaten the Holy Law Association!"
"If we have to choose, of course we'll choose the option that benefits us more!"
"I'd like to see how the Holy Law Association explains this—and how they plan to suppress the Silicon Base Race now!"
Clearly, the Silicon Lord wanted to use this leverage to negotiate terms!
Secondary AI: "The Silicon Lord is wise! Holy Star is so greedy—they're practically digging a pit and jumping into it themselves!"
"But it's just a Blue Star. Is it worth Holy Star taking such a risk to develop it? Humans? They're nothing but a bunch of lowly carbon-based lifeforms!"
The Core AI snorted. "Hmph! Lowly carbon-based lifeforms? They're a race with the potential to reach the Monarch level!"
"The mere fact that one of those beings came from their ranks makes developing it worth the risk. Have you forgotten how half of Thousand Star City was dismantled back then?"
"If that being hadn't gone missing, who knows how far they might have grown by now!"
"If Blue Star really is developed into a Star Ruins, who knows how much it would be worth? How could Holy Star not be tempted?"
At the mention of what had happened back then, several Secondary AIs flickered erratically!
The Core AI said, "But Blue Star is pitifully weak now. The Silicon Base Race could wipe it out with a casual move, so it's no threat!"
"Still, its existence has given us leverage over
