Tang Zhi Chu ironed his clothes, then folded them.
Carrying the clothes, he pushed open the kitchen door from the balcony, only to see Jiang Lan washing dishes in an apron.
Tang Zhi Chu froze for a moment. Jiang Lan was wearing his clothes: dark blue shorts that came down to her knees, revealing her shapely, fair calves, and a checked shirt that strained across her chest.
"Awake?"
"Mm."
"I'll wash those. Give me the clothes." Tang Zhi Chu walked over.
Jiang Lan shook her head, her ears turning red before she knew it. She said softly, "It's okay. You can put them in the bedroom for me. I'll be done washing in a minute."
Tang Zhi Chu nodded and brushed past Jiang Lan.
Only after Tang Zhi Chu left the kitchen did Jiang Lan's tense body relax. She let out a breath and muttered, "I'm done for. I don't want to go to work anymore."
Half an hour later, Tang Zhi Chu and Jiang Lan had both changed, and they headed out together.
In the underground parking garage, Tang Zhi Chu handed Jiang Lan her bag.
Jiang Lan took it, but went straight to the passenger seat. Tang Zhi Chu looked at her in confusion.
Jiang Lan said with a playful smile, "Aren't you picking someone up at the airport? You can drive, but you have to drop me off at work first."
On the way downstairs, Tang Zhi Chu had told Jiang Lan what he was going to do.
