The Jashin Cult

"Take them down!" The Great Cult Master turned around, and Shiyu immediately noticed that the skin covering his entire body looked like a skeleton's, just like Hidan in his Death God's Blood state.

Many Jashin Cult followers suddenly appeared around them, rushing toward Shiyu with fanatic fervor.

Shiyu naturally wasn't going to sit still and wait for death. He formed Hand Seals and shouted, "Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Five Shadow Clones appeared. The six Shiyus surrounded Hizashi Hyuga and Noguchi in a circle, then raised their Kunai to face the enemy.

"Shiyu! They're strong! Be careful!" Hizashi said. Shiyu then used his Kunai to cut the ropes binding Hizashi.

"Shiyu! They're coming!" Hizashi took up a stance, ready to fight.

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!" A gigantic fireball instantly surged toward the Jashin Cult followers surrounding them.

"Hahahaha! You're in the Gakin Cult, and you still think you can oppose the Jashin?"

The Great Fireball Jutsu came hurtling toward them, and should have swept away every enemy in its path.

And it seemed to do just that. Nearly every Jashin Cult follower was hit by the fireball, their clothes even burned to a crisp. The entire chamber filled with the smell of thoroughly roasted flesh.

"Shiyu, don't let your guard down! They have a special ability!" Hizashi had also taken up a stance, and with Gentle Fist, he instantly took down one of the Jashin Cult enemies before him.

"An Immortal Body?" Shiyu frowned, and his White Rinnegan swept over the surroundings.

Shiyu suddenly noticed something was wrong. He sensed that the enemies he'd burned to death with his Great Fireball had been hit head-on, yet seemed to have come back to life almost immediately.

"So they don't die—they fall into a deathlike state, then revive? What a troublesome ability!" Shiyu frowned. Still, these enemies didn't seem nearly as strong as Hidan.

"Hmph! You ignorant humans! Lord Evil God will never spare you! Everyone, collect their blood and use Death God's Blood!"

The Great Cult Master spoke up.

The revived fanatics immediately got back to their feet, trying every possible way to get close to Shiyu.

"If they collect my blood, it looks like I'm as good as dead!" Shiyu thought of Asuma's tragic end in the original story.

"In that case, Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Shiyu instantly created five Shadow Clones. The enemy wouldn't be able to identify his real body at a glance.

Then Shiyu used the same trick again and performed another ninjutsu.

"Water Release: Hidden Mist Technique!"

"Shiyu! You just used Fire Release. Using Water Release afterward will consume even more chakra!" Hizashi Hyuga quietly reminded him.

"There's no other choice. They outnumber us, so we can only kill them all in an instant. If this turns into a drawn-out fight, we'll run out of stamina. It's better to give it everything we've got; that'll give us a better chance!" Although Shiyu said they had a chance, he was actually quite confident. After all, he still hadn't used his trump card.

Shiyu quietly approached a Jashin Cult follower from behind. He saw his chance and struck with Gentle Fist, targeting a vital point. The blow instantly cut off the follower's chakra pathways, killing him on the spot.

Shiyu quickly used Body Flicker Technique to leave the area, then carefully watched the follower's body.

Shiyu saw that the man had indeed died after being struck. The chakra in his body seemed to have stopped flowing, and his heart had stopped beating. Yet the next moment, a strange force suddenly burst from his brain. A surge of vitality enveloped his entire body, and then it began to revive rapidly.

"I see. It's almost the same as Hidan's Immortal Body. If I want to kill this many Jashin Cult followers, I can only use that move!" Shiyu confirmed.

"One of the followers has been taken down! Go reinforce them! The sound came from over there!" The Great Cult Master reacted quickly and was also the strongest among them, so he led his lackeys toward the follower's approximate location at a run.

"Shiyu..." Seeing that he had no intention of stopping, Hizashi Hyuga grew worried and activated his Byakugan. But what he saw left him stunned: Shiyu's chakra flowed abnormally, glowing brighter and appearing more powerful than usual.
