"What just happened?"
Snape looked at Lucius, whose robes were damp with sweat.
"Someone controlled Hermione. It looked like the Imperius Curse. I noticed and was afraid there might be danger, so I shouted."
Lucius explained, glancing at Professor McGonagall, who was hurrying over.
"Are you all right, child?" McGonagall asked as she came to Hermione's side.
Hermione shook her head, looking confused. She only remembered a flash of green light rushing toward her; she couldn't remember anything else.
"Who controlled her?" McGonagall asked Lucius.
"I don't know." Lucius kept his lips sealed.
Snape's expression betrayed his disbelief, but he said nothing. He merely looked toward McGonagall. "Where's the Headmaster?"
"He went to fetch Master Flamel, hoping he can help find the Chamber of Secrets in the castle." McGonagall paused, then quickly added, "I've already notified him. He should be back soon."
Snape nodded, then looked at Lucius again, as if trying to uncover some secret from him.
"What's going on?" Flitwick hurried over and asked.
"Hermione was controlled, but we don't know who did it," McGonagall explained, then dispersed the students who had gathered nearby.
"Everyone should go back to their common rooms. It's not safe out here..."
As Flitwick spoke, he saw Neville emerge from the crowd and walk right past them, toward the end of the corridor.
They exchanged glances, all recognizing that something was wrong with Neville.
"Neville," Professor McGonagall suddenly called.
Neville didn't stop at her call, but Lucius beside her jumped in fright.
"What's wrong?" Snape quietly asked him.
Lucius shook his head without saying anything, not daring to raise his head.
"Neville" finally stopped, but he didn't look at McGonagall. Instead, he looked at Lucius.
"Was it that person?" "Neville" asked him.
Lucius felt like he was going mad.
