Scenes began to unfold in the Abyss.

In that familiar, gloomy region, the castle had been fully constructed. All around it, thousands upon thousands of points of light shimmered, like lanterns illuminating the area.

After Arthur's repeated improvements, the balls of light produced by these illumination spells had become very stable. They no longer went out easily for one reason or another, as they had before.

This had also brought light to the area, making the surrounding region seem as bright as day.

Arthur stood in a corner, pondering his work.

"If I combine the bloodline of Spirit Grass with a Demon's bloodline, perhaps it'll be able to withstand stronger Abyss Power..."

In the corner before him, Arthur carefully used his powerful mental strength to connect two entirely different Bloodline Marks, forming a brand-new Bloodline Mark.

Under his control, the two incomplete Bloodline Marks combined and condensed, forming a new species.

This was only a combination of Bloodline Marks. In a sense, they were equivalent to genetic information and had not yet fully taken physical form.

However, once this step was complete, what came next was easy for Arthur.

As a flicker of Arthur's power passed through it, the condensed Bloodline Mark before him quickly changed.

Power surged in from all around. All the matter, nutrients, and energy needed for the Bloodline Mark to grow and develop were supplied in abundance, allowing it to mature in the shortest time possible.

Under Arthur's gaze, the Bloodline Mark rapidly developed and slowly grew, eventually forming a new species.

It was a black vine. Its surface looked as if scales were forming over it, and its tissues resembled ordinary flesh, yet they were also covered in plantlike patterns. It looked like something between an animal and a plant, utterly bizarre.
