"Indeed, they were baptized by divine power. The Lord of Light they believed in was indeed a true deity."
In an instant, Vinal realized something, then sank into a fit of ecstasy. "A newly emerged Sage, just beginning his journey?"
The thought flashed through his mind, and he was immediately overcome with joy.
Unlike ordinary people, Vinal was a noble. He knew the history of the past and understood how those churches had been founded.
Among the many important events in history, the accounts of the Sages' first appearances were especially significant. He had memorized them countless times.
And in those histories, there was a curious pattern.
Whenever a Sage appeared, he would invariably establish his own church, eventually subdue the entire world, and unite its faith under his rule.
Thus, every time a Sage appeared, a new hegemon would often arise.
Many of the churches of the past had gone through this process, experiencing a period of domination.
It was easy to imagine that each such event brought about a major reshuffling.
Countless established powers were purged to make room for new forces, and countless people benefited, becoming the new spokespeople.
Now, a god with no name before had appeared, and a brand-new Sage seemed about to emerge.
Vinal quickly realized the enormous benefits this represented, and could not help but feel ecstatic.
Without the slightest hesitation, he soon made up his mind.
"Mr. Maolora."
After the ceremony ended, unlike the others, Vinal did not leave. Instead, he continued forward and sought out Maolora.
"Mr. Vinal."
Looking at Vinal before him, Maolora was momentarily taken aback. Then he recovered and greeted him politely.
Though he had only caught a brief glimpse of him, he quickly realized that Vinal held an extraordinary position, far higher than that of the others.
