The little dwarf Ani's dialogue appeared again.
Then the game screen changed.
Another little race interface appeared. It showed a marked mountain path stretching straight from the ranch to the summit of Mount Shengmu. The way it was displayed in this little interface was different from the game's usual presentation, though.
Following the prompt, Qin Lin controlled the Game Character and went with the little dwarf Ani to the starting line.
Then the countdown began.
Qin Lin focused intently. When the countdown ended, he made the Game Character sprint off toward the mountain.
But he'd barely started running when he noticed something was wrong.
The little dwarf Ani was just watching him run, while he himself ambled along at a leisurely pace?
Was this supposed to be a race?
At least put some effort into your stride!

To his surprise, the Game Character stopped, and so did the little dwarf.
"???" Qin Lin stared in bewilderment. He tried making the Game Character step backward, and the little dwarf Ani stepped backward too.
"..." Qin Lin was completely baffled now.
Had he failed to read the rules properly? Was the race about seeing who could run more slowly?
That couldn't be right. He distinctly remembered the rules saying it was a race to see who could reach the summit of Mount Shengmu first...
