Dwarf Ani's sudden visit delighted Qin Lin.

Every time this guy showed up, he brought an unexpected surprise.

First there had been the Albino Yellow Tiger, then the Cola Fruit.

And when Qin Lin saw Dwarf Ani asking about hiring people, he had a pretty good idea what this was about. He immediately clicked on Ani with the game character.

The dialogue appeared again.

[...My companions have settled into the house in Mineral Town, but now they want to find jobs to support themselves. They haven't been able to find any work, though. Could you help them? I would be very grateful!]

Sure enough, this was a story event about finding jobs for the dwarves.

Story of Seasons was a laid-back farming game.

At first, players found it fun to grow crops and raise animals like horses, chickens, and cows.

But as the game went on, they acquired more and more land and raised more and more animals. Harvesting crops and collecting eggs and milk took a great deal of time.

After doing the same things over and over for a while, it started to feel tedious.

After all, players wanted to explore new gameplay and experience new storylines, not spend all their time on those chores.

That was why the dwarves were there.

There were seven dwarves in Mineral Town, each wearing a different color, and they were called Xiefu Nie, Nabi, Guli Di, Dimitri, Aquar, Zhuo Kake, and Bordeaux.

In every version of Story of Seasons, players could hire them to work on the farm and take care of tedious daily chores, freeing players up to explore new gameplay.

In the old version of the game, players had to give the dwarves gifts and raise their affection to a certain level before they could hire them.
