Optimus Prime?
Megatron?
Quite a few people had seen the Transformers movies, so some recognized that the muscle truck and the Titan tanker truck were the original forms of Optimus Prime and Megatron.
But no one seriously thought they could actually be Optimus Prime and Megatron.
After all, this was real life.
Still, people couldn't help speculating.
"There's really nobody driving those trucks. Are they going to transform in a minute?"
"Holy crap, it'd be awesome if they really transformed into Optimus Prime and Megatron."
"Haha, you're all joking, right? Are the Transformers here to destroy Earth?"
"If cars could transform in real life, I'd eat them... eat... eat... ah..."
As the man spoke, the two trucks had already driven onto the restricted Third Ring Road. At that very moment, they began to change, their frames twisting and shifting.
Everyone's eyes widened as they watched the two trucks sprout legs and mechanical arms, then rise upright into two enormous figures.
Weren't those figures Optimus Prime and Megatron from the movies?
They'd really transformed?
Everyone who saw it was stunned.
"They... they really transformed!"
"N... no way. Can this actually be real?"
"Am I dreaming? Does this kind of technology really exist?"
"..."
Aside from being amazed, the onlookers assumed it was some sort of technological marvel. They couldn't help marveling at how impressive the technology must be to achieve something like this.
Those who had taken out their phones to film the trucks as they approached began uploading their videos to their social media feeds and the internet.
Optimus Prime and Megatron were common sights. Many stores even bought one or the other for their grand openings to attract attention.
But everyone knew what those Optimus Primes and Megatrons were.
They were either motionless, or people wore plastic model suits
