After the people of the Blue Star Federation retrieved the small information-transmission satellite, they called everyone to a Federation meeting. Then, as quickly as possible, they had the information stored on the satellite opened so everyone could see it.
But when everyone saw what the satellite had stored, they breathed a sigh of relief even as their brows furrowed.
They were relieved because a message had come from the terraformed planet. Nothing had happened there for the time being; it hadn't been conquered or destroyed.
But there was bad news, too: the people on the terraformed planet had already encountered the visitors from space and received a signal from them.
The voices coming through the signal left the Federation's high-ranking officials utterly confused. They couldn't understand a word.
Of course. It was the language of the visitors from space. How could they possibly understand it?
And so they were at an impasse.
If they couldn't understand what was being said, they couldn't figure out the visitors' intentions, which meant they had no idea what to do next.
"What do we do? Who can understand a language from outside Blue Star?"
"Exactly. We don't even know what they want."
"They haven't attacked us, so that means we can still talk."
"At least that's good news."
"How about sending the audio to the Research Department and letting the researchers investigate?"
That suggestion met with approval.
After the Federation was established, unification had become an unstoppable trend. The leaders of nearly every country had joined the Federation, and their soldiers were being reorganized.
The countries still competed for power, but now it was within the Federation. As for their scientists, they had all been absorbed into the Research Department.
With the research elites from every country working together, their efficiency really was high.
