Chapter Summaries

Moke kept Iku captive while pursuing his Ultra Beast research and threatened Yan Yang to pressure him. After Moke left Mascot Dog to guard Iku, Iku realized the Pokémon was Darkrai.

• Moke told Iku he had given him a muscle relaxant and explained his desire to capture Ultra Beasts.
• Iku condemned Moke's unethical research and splashed coffee on him, but Moke threatened to involve Yan Yang.

Yan Yang examined and awakened Number 77, then spoke with it and learned that it considered him a friend despite its hatred of humans. Azure shut Yan Yang inside Number 77’s Incubation Pod and left them locked up overnight.

Azure met with Moke and Raphael to discuss the Ultra Ball, Experiment Subjects, and the Aether Foundation’s plan to open an Ultra Wormhole. After Moke set the plan in motion for tomorrow night and took Cosmog, Armorouge overheard the meeting and prepared to report it to Yan Yang.

• Raphael reported that Ultra Ball testing was nearly complete, and Azure said he had finished developing memory discs for the Experiment Subjects.

• Master Hu failed to find Yan Yang across Alola’s four islands, while Litleo worried that his Everstone would soon fail and he would evolve.
• Entei and the others crossed Poni Canyon after the Totem Kommo-o allowed them through.
• Master Hu warned Entei about the guardian deities’ altar, but Entei went ahead alone and told Master Hu to watch Litleo.
